 Lennon pre match interview
Topic Originator: desparado

Jordan always asks NL about player availability and injury updates.

In this one……nada …..mmmmm?

What an opportunity we missed in 2014.

The photos of the team prepping for the game that went up on Facebook earlier had some players tactically missing i would suggest!

I`m in deep detective mode but i thought there was an awkward cut in the post Airdrie interview footage the other night as well...

Would you give John Mcglynn any sort of tactical advantage ahead of Saturday I certainly wouldn’t

Like the images of training today only focussing on 5/6 players……cards close to chest this week big time

It seemples!@
If we have decent team out and play well, the match is 50 50
If we don`t its 60 40 for them
If they are down on players ts back to 50 50
Based our thoughts on injuries it`s 55 45 to them, but that`s still good. I am quietly confident, especially if they dont score early

The interview on COWS confirms A Tod is out for some time, says Turley and TOB are doubtful after picking up injuries on Tuesday, but makes no mention at aĺl of JCM. Jordan does tend to ask general questions rather than specific ones, which can be frustrating.

It only says Tod remains out for a period of time. I may be clutching a bit but that could mean anything. That period of time has never been specified. I think he`ll be on the bench. Bring him on to give us and the team a boost.

The questions are just copy and paste. I`d him to ask different questions.

This is Andy Tod`s world and we are lucky to live in it.

Folks, keep in mind that this is club TV. They are not there to “grill” managers and players.
For the older generation, remember Jim McLean’s “response” to a specific question by the BBC’s John Barnes?
Playing devil’s advocate, Neil could well have said to Jordan not to ask him about injured players,as he didn’t want to answer that?

Think for me the questions are a little scripted. The managers I`ve interviewed prefer it to be direct as they can say more on club channels over mainline press.

Each club will have their own strategy though and the guys do a wonderful job overall. The one I work at I never share questions prior to interviews as its a trust exercise and reading the room. For example, I never ask about relegation because of the obvious elephant that`s there so there isn`t any need but I`ll maybe pull a stat out that highlights something that can be opened to a talking point.

I was always told by senior BBC media people to make direct questions, with a purpose of conversation which an `interview` should be treated like.

From this morning release

The manager has injury concerns over the fitness of Freddie Turley, Tashan Oakley-Boothe and Jeremiah Chilokoa-Mullen. In addition he has already reported that Andrew Tod will be out for a period of time with a knee injury sustained in the recent match away to Ayr United.

Will be extremely difficult match with Andy and Mullen. Hope we get them back for the playoffs.
