 Barclays Hampden app
Topic Originator: veteraneastender
Date:   Tue 19 May 09:15

I`ve downloaded the app - but have no previous experience of using it.

Some guidance appreciated.

1.When do the tickets go live - I`ve heard 3 days beforehand ?

2. I need to transfer some to others in our party - presumably they also need the app - and is it by transfer using their email address ?

Ta in advance.

Here is the guide for the app. Tbf, it`s really simple and smooth, you just need to remember to click on your tickets to activate them on the day of the game

1. 3 days is the guide for this. I heard today they might start rolling them out. You will be notified by email that they are there.

2. Yeah if transferring they need the app and need to tell you the email address that they used to sign up for app.

At the semi final, they were letting people scan in then pass their phones back. I`m hoping I cam do that again rather than have to get my old man to get the Hampden app.

Thats made much easier with the scanner being outside the turnstile now rather than internally.

Also, open the app early on the day and leave it open - means if you do lose signal you wont panic about it not loading up. It should work anyway as the app works off bluetooth and not mobile network.

Tickets next to Celtic allocation were ones received, that would explain it, as other 4 on opposite stand.

Got my tickets (B8) and successfully transferred some of them.

Surprised to see that the tickets don`t seem to distinguish between Adult and Concession, or between U16 and 65+. Hopefully I`ve transferred the right ones, as the DAFC acknowledgment of their purchase specified which was which, but am I missing something?

And I see in the list of Prohibited Items that as well as knives and face masks etc, cameras are also prohibited. Good luck with that!

The DAFC email does (as I said) but the Barclays email and the Barclays app don`t seem to.

Yes that is very easy, just stand at the reader and swipe through the tickets, just make sure the person is in before you present the next ticket, I think it changes colour when ready, and also the person is ready to go in when you present the ticket to the reader.

I did this at the semi with no problem

I would wait until the person is through the turnstile tbh it’s like it changes colour as soon as it starts turning so if you put it in because the click it will accept that ticket and then not let you through have seen it happen to a few people at Scotland games

Thats made much easier with the scanner being outside the turnstile now rather than internally.

Also, open the app early on the day and leave it open - means if you do lose signal you wont panic about it not loading up. It should work anyway as the app works off bluetooth and not mobile network.

Be aware not all the gates have the scanner outside the turnstiles. some are inside so someone will have to scan the code then pass the phone back to the next one.

App worked really well on my old relic of a phone. 10 tickets in and 9 distributed pretty quickly.

Is there anyone else still waiting on your tickets to appear on the app?

The semi final was fine for me but nothing showing for the final yet. . .

Do you think it will be fine for me to have all the tickets on my phone ? The others are not very tech savvy

Be aware not all the gates have the scanner outside the turnstiles. some are inside so someone will have to scan the code then pass the phone back to the next one.

Yeah, that’s what I did for the semi and will be tomorrow, just scan and pass the phone along.

Rodney did u attend the semi final?
