The 2026 Scottish Gas Men`s Scottish Cup Final between Celtic and Dunfermline Athletic takes place at Hampden Park on Saturday, 23 May 2026. Both teams will wear their primary home kits to maximize contrast, with Celtic in their classic green and white hoops and Dunfermline in their traditional black and white stripes.

Correct, Unfortunately the google search gave the incorrect answer, but has now changed to the red strip

I notice that as well as the strip change to red in the AI overview the result has already been decided. They must have access to SFA meetings

Dunfermline Athletic last reached the Scottish Cup Final, where they faced Celtic at Hampden Park. However, due to a kit clash with Celtic’s traditional green and white hoops, Dunfermline wore their all-red away kit with black and white trim rather than their famous black and white stripes.

Dunfermline`s last five appearances in major cup finals include:

2026 Scottish Gas Scottish Cup Final Opponent: Celtic Kit Worn: Red change kit (with black/white trim)Result: Celtic won

2007 Scottish Cup Final Opponent: Celtic Kit Worn: All-black change kit Result: Celtic won 1-0

2006 Scottish League Cup Final Opponent: Celtic Kit Worn: White shirt with black trim Result: Celtic won 3-0

2004 Scottish Cup Final Opponent: Celtic Kit Worn: White shirt with a single black vertical stripe down the left side Result: Celtic won 3-1

1968 Scottish Cup Final Opponent: Heart of Midlothian Kit Worn: Traditional Black and White stripes Result: Dunfermline won 3-1

Why do Celtic get the preference ,we were first team into the final surely we should be able to play in our black and white

Because Celtic are the home team everyone would be raging if we were the home team and didn’t get to wear the home kit interestingly tho this will be the first time this season we are the away team in the cup

I really wish people would stop using `AI` or simple things like this. Gemini is terrible for pulling information from completely incorrect sources

I can`t find any reliable source about this so I`ve emailed the club at:

subject - Pars cup final strip

Hi

Given the interest of Pars fans in knowing if we`ll
wear our black and white strip, could you perhaps
include a wee article about it in DAFC news?

Or let me know and I`ll be glad to post it on the
DAFC.net forum.

Thank you

If I get a reply I`ll post it. In the meantime if anyone else wants to email them, that might help.

Celtic are the home team as their semi tie was the first drawn. St Mirren would have been the home team had they got through. We were only first to get to the final due to the TV scheduling.

That`s a shame for those that ordered them, but not much that the club can do.

Seems to be an issue every year with the strips arriving after the summer hols are finished. Surely it wouldn`t be too much of an issue to get the order in so it`s arriving at the club in early May, that way they can get selling them as soon as possible. Imagine the amount they would sell if they had a new shirt out and we were going to wear it at the Cup Final. Every year we see people wanting to get a new shirt for them or their kids before they go on holiday

That sounds too sensible for us to do that.

To be fair, it looks like UPS have lost the package and are just ignoring the fact they’ve lost them. Not surprising from delivery companies these days though. Club will lose out on money too as would imagine refunds will be asked for.

Has there been any update on the strips which were ‘lost’ by UPS and what the club are doing for fans who ordered a new top?

When does our deal run out with Errea? I seen the deal was announced in May 2023 but never mentioned length of deal.

They’ve been an absolute shambles since they came in.
