 Cooper`s Goal

I could be mistaken, but did Josh Cooper score with his first touch? And he was only on the park a few seconds no? Wonder if there is any potential record there...

Was his first touch but certainly not a peach. Would be questions if he didn`t score

C'mon Ye Pars!

Considering his form the last few months, it wasn`t a given... But took it well. Hopefully he kicks on from it as when he is on form, he is a pleasure to watch

Maybe it was a simple knock-in but he has the knack of being in the right place at the right time. I wonder what his goal per minutes ratio is.

In a huge fan of Cooper. He was on fire start of the season and then injured.
He’s back but never getting the game time he deserves.
Very underestimated player

Is it a Pars thing? This need to absolutely destroy young local boys who are doing their very best for us.

It`s really sad to see, even more so after this season.

I couldn`t GAF if it had hit him on the bottom and went in.
We had our moment to celebrate.
Some folk need to step back and wonder why they support Pars.
Is it for pure success or because it`s your team?
Success is great ..sure, but it`s gotta be earned, not handed on a plate.
No "add water and here`s yer sauce recipe" here.
I dug out my old programmes before this weekend. I actually surprised myself how many games I went to in the 90`s.
Two cup finals in 35 years for me.
Not grumbling.
Proud to be a Par!

I blame Andy Rhodes for this!

Apologies if that`s directed me.
I`ve seen plenty of **** times and still come back.
I`ll spend more on 3 home games a season ( travel, hotel, etc) than your whole season ticket price.
If my comments ain`t worthy, skip along.
Apologies if I`m holding the wrong end of the stick BTW

I`d have Cooper in the team ahead of Morrison every time.

He`s intelligent and links up well with other players. Morrison is a lottery that pays out from time to time.

Cooper can sometimes be good, but other times, like when he came on for Chris Kane v Partick Thistle, he contributes nothing. If we want to be competing for the Championship title next season, then he can`t be any more than a bench warmer

For me Cooper needs to do more in terms of his consistency. The Championship is so tight you need consistency of performance. Robbie Fraser is a good example of a player who consistently performs at a high level.

Cooper struggles with consistency. He comes off the bench and looks decent, but then is almost anonymous when given the chance to start.

I agree with the above, when he came on for Kane, we needed energy, yet he looked as tired as the rest of those who started.
If we can get some consistency from him, he can be an asset.

This is Andy Tod`s world and we are lucky to live in it.

Cooper has an eye for goal and can be quite direct but there’s too much missing from his game for him to be a starter if we want to be up there. No pace and too lightweight. I’m shocked he’s got another 2 years when he isn’t a starter for us just now and you expect us to improve the squad.

Kind think the same of Morrison, inconsistent and lightweight but at least he has pace which can sport the opposition and can give us an out. We’ve lacked any pace in our team for years and he works his socks off.

Both will be here next season so unless we look to bring another similar player in I can see at least one of them being a consistent benchwarmer if not both.

I think every man and his dog knows Andy tod needs at least another year at this level to build his consistency and develop some sort of physical presence so he’ll be going nowhere.

Cooper is a fine player who offers something different.
His positional play is his greatest strength which might go unnoticed by some.
Nobody should forget he was out for months with injury but that he was flying at the start of the season.
I can guarantee a consistent run of games, we will see the best of him in the future.

correct on the last part, in terms of coming off the bench id say looks decent at times then the other times shows why he is still on the bench. was the same after season 1, now season 2, what odds it will be the same after season 3 if he is here for the full season?

I think Cooper has a football brain but needs to work on his consistency. A good pre season and a few games early season under his belt avoiding injury may see him coming on to his game more. He needs to do it next season I think

It`s weird how being `on the bench` or `a squad player` are often used as derogatory terms when clubs are able to name 20 players for a match and use up to 5 subs. Players like Cooper are absolutely vital to our success whether he starts or comes on later.
