Yes, it`ll likely be Lennon Miller. Possibly Connor Barron or Tyler Fletcher.

The only one of our midfielders that always wants the ball and isn’t afraid to take control.
Gutted for him and the team.

Gutted for him. He’s our best player at retaining possession, which will be vital in this tournament, particularly in the heat in Florida.

Wonder if Miller or Fletcher will take his place?

What rotten luck! 😒 My favourite player in the current Scotland team, partly because he`s a wee guy, but also because he`s a very talented footballer.

Gutted for him.

I was worried that he went down again quite quickly today, and it looked like there was quite a bit of weight on his knee when he got injured.

That’s a real shame for him. He will be inconsolable. I hope he gets another chance in the future?

Devastating for Billy. He knew straight away he had a bad one and regardless who is brought in, it’s a huge loss to the team.

He might call up Barron. He’s been in a few squads before. I don’t think Clarke fancies Miller for whatever reason.

Kenny McLean speaks very highly of Tyler Fletcher. Amazingly, when Kenny first came into the Scotland squad Tyler`s dad, Darren, was one of the senior pros!

I think he`ll go for fletcher - mostly to stop him playing for England with his brother.

No danger of Tyler playing for England

Presumably Tyler wants to play for Scotland or he wouldn`t be training with the squad.

He sounds like a real prospect.

Always found it a bit strange that one twin chose England and the other Scotland. Maybe filter gets a WC call then his brother will jump ship…

What an opportunity we missed in 2014.

Gutted for Billy.

Never heard of Tyler before yesterday but good luck to him - said the other day Clarke needs to start bringing new players into the squad so no complaints on that one.

Wonder what has happened to Lennon Miller tho - he seems to have dropped off the face of the earth!

He’s been selected over the likes of Miller and Watt of Well - big gamble for the World Cup…

I know - when I heard the news last night, coming back from the game, just presumed Miller would get the call.

Looking on TA message boards / Fb group etc - Miller was the expected replacement by most of us.

Seems strange, with nothing against Tyler who`s literally just come in 🤔

Has Lennon Miller`s move to Udinese worked out how he`d hoped it would? He seems to have spent an awful lot of time as an unused sub.

Their attacking midfielders for Scotland.
I mean players that are deeper and taking the ball off the defence to connect with the attack.

Players such as McLean and ferguson.

Dunno wee eck but he`s been in the squad recently & was on the bench for both games in March.

Tyler has come from nowhere, has played once & is now on the plane to America.

Like I said - absolutely nothing against Tyler but it just seems bizarre!

He played well yesterday, but enough in 1 game to leapfrog others into a WC squad?! Hmm 🤔

You`ve got to trust the manager in situations like this. He wouldn`t take him on the plane unless he thought he could do a job for us.

If I’d had been involved with squads before and suddenly someone comes from nowhere and gets a seat on the plane ahead of me and other boys who had been waiting patiently then I’d be seriously raging. Especially if I’d had a couple of seasons under my belt already.

I hadn`t heard of Fletcher until.yesterday either but pay little attention to the English leagues. Does he get a game at Man Utd? I take it he must be decent? What`s his background beyond being the son of Darren?

Same age and has over 80 first team league appearances compared to Tylers 2. Had been in numerous squads and now completely out of the frame. Something smells a wee bit off with this whole decision to me, but as said above suppose got to trust Clarkes judgement 🤷🏻‍♂️ there will be a cut off date where squad must be finalised and no replacements can be called up too but not sure exactly when that is.

Has made 2 sub appearances for them, him and his twin brother were at Citys academy till 2023 then moved to Utd. His brother has chosen England to play for.

Young players develop at different rates. As far as I can see Tyler Fletcher has almost by-passed the under 21s and only has one cap at that level.

Should have asked Harvey Barnes one last time. I know he`d prefer to play for England but he missed out on their squad so this could very well be his last chance of playing at the world cup. I don`t know if he would have been legible though as I think he played a friendly.

If a player rejects a first inquiry as to whether he would like to play for Scotland I think it should be left at that.

Friendlies don`t count. Not sure Steve Clark is the kind of manager that would ask again. He`s told us he doesn`t feel in any way Scottish, which is fair enough. His loss
