Controversial opinion time...
All international managers should have to meet the same eligibility criteria that players do (ie. You need to have nationality of the country, etc)

Nah because then all your smallest nations wouldn’t have a team at all most of the time the smallest nations get a different country manager to actually build up the football in that country

Yeah - not for me. Doesn`t seem to be a big problem.
Although, I believe the (mens) world cup has only ever been won by `homegrown` coaches. Not sure about the womens.

Why would it be acceptable to impose citizenship criteria on players, but not managers? Surely fifa could turn round and say they`re imposing a new rule to align players and managers? Hypothetically

It would be too easy to get round. The "manager" would just become a spokesman while the actual work will be done by a foreign "advisor".
