Good or bad ?
They seem to be getting a lot of stick from the fans I`ve noticed , and the pundits ain`t too happy with them either .

Bad. They are just advertising breaks, most of the games are not played in high temperatures or humidity. Football is a game of two halves not four quarters. They break up momentum.

And don`t get me started on goal music!

If they`d just said we are having quarter breaks for commercials I`d have pragmatically accepted it.

Being told hydration breaks are required in an air-conditioned stadium kinda makes me mad.

I think the hydration breaks are a good idea in principle but a) they should just stop the clock when they happen and b) they should be limited to 1 min max. Some of them seem to take 3-5 minutes!!!

I’d also add that the two teams should be instructed to go to opposite corners the other side of the dugouts where water/fluids will be available. In other words no instructions from the management teams. It’s a nonsense.

Not keen myself. This decision was made with profit in mind from a greedy FIFA selling more adverts and has now turned our beautiful game into a "Game of 4 Halves".
