Him and Kane up top will be a fantastic option!

A different type of striker from Chris Kane but that gives another option. Surely the Courier have got their facts wrong saying his dad is ex-Par, George Shaw. It`s Greg Shaw isn`t it?

Nearly 40 goals in last 2 seasons for a fairly poor team, that’ll do me. I wonder if we paid a fee or he was let go as he had a contract till May 27

It’s our own club that’s got it wrong. His dad was Greg Shaw.

We`ve got Cooper just in behind them too! If Morrison gets a good po re season in, that`s a huge amount of great options.
We probably don`t rely on a traditional out and out striker.

His strike rate has been about 1 goal in four games over most of his career. Its good we have been able to bring him here. Hopefully he can have a great three years at the club, and NL and the coaching staff can get the best out of him. At 28 he is hopefully hitting his best time in football.
If JCM can resign, and we bring in another goalkeeper and a replacement for KN we are looking good for next season.

If he had intentions to sign he would have done so already.
Apparently his contract ends at the end of the month and I think it will be announced he’s off.

He is a goalacorer who needs good service in the box. An older Barney Stewart. A good age, and hopefully will hit his prime over the next two seasons

I remember him missing one of the biggest sitters I have ever seen at EEP a couple of seasons ago. Missed a tap in from about two yards….Finished 0-0 I think.
What an opportunity we missed in 2014.

Good signing, hopefully he rises to the challenge of the Championship. That could very well be the end of Connor Young as a Pars player as he`s well down the pecking order now. I don`t think Lennon is keen on him anyway. I`d loan him out to a higher level team than EK for 6 months to see how he gets on.

Often mentioned it finally happens, we can tick the forwards box off.
A couple of spots , Ox has reposted Shaws signing on instagram with a double star emoji, and much less interesting, from the clubs photo on instagram it appears there’s work being carried out on the Norrie roof :-).

Rudden, Kane , Shaw, Young ................and nobody mentioned Fyfe !!? Options for a very good forward line (assuming Young starts returning on his potential).
Midfield looks good too with Gilmour, Tod and Morrison (and Cooper, Amade, Bray, and Corbally to also call on).
We need to be adding to defence though as it looks like we`ll only have Fraser, Tod, Abdulai and Kearney (as experienced first teamers). Assuming Mullen is gone and Bene is coaching only (his legs are done). Not sure if Lennon fancies Davidson or Ewan McLeod much ? But Davidson came with a good rep from Celtic ?

Really pleased Shaw has signed for us. He and Chris Kane could be lethal together. He`s one that`s been mentioned every window for years so glad to see it finally happen. He was excellent the season Kilmarnock were promoted from this league.
19 league goals in 33 league games, followed by 4 in 4 in the playoffs, is quite the return last season.
I did see a slightly surprising stat recently that said something like, only 4 of those 19 goals came against sides in the top 4 in league one (so 15 against the other 5 teams in the bottom 6). The suggestion being that he struggles against better sides.
Not convinced there is any huge significance in this.

We needed another experienced striker and Shaw with the service he`ll get in the team should do well. I think it`s important to have multiple good physical options at this level and we`ve added to Kane and Rudden in that regard. You saw the difference in the cup final when they came on and started giving Celtic more of a battle.
It probably depends on what happens with Connor Young now as to whether anything else changes in that department but I`d say at the moment we`re looking strong.

He seems to have had a good season last year and looks more like a box striker that NL likes. Not sure we would play both him and Chris Kane up front as he looks like a player who needs good service into the box. I would anticipate Chris being used more sparingly next season, with Morrison and Zack Rudden leading the line with him. The important thing for me this season is that we are pushing to win the league and need to bring in a good experienced defender 26-28 years, rather than younger inexperienced defender that we need to develop. It needs to be a breakthrough season for Davidson. An experienced central defender alongside him may be worth a try, but we probably still neef two if JCM moves on. A bit of a blow if we lose all three, but recoverable. The best central defender we have had in my view was MFW so a couple like him would be great. Matty Todd not so much of a miss for me as he could be inconsistent but I wish him well. For KN, JCM and MT, they will need to be consistent to play at the higher level. I`d like to see big Ox back as season playing first team football will be key at his stage in his career and will do well for us.

To me Morrison looks better wider so if you’re going with 2 up top of Rudden and Shaw, Morrison one side. Not sure on the other side 🤷🏻♂️ Amade and Gilmour in the middle. It’s a strong looking team atm
Still feel like we need another 4/5 in the starting 11 but it’s pretty encouraging stuff

same with any new signing good luck to him.
an extra option with Kane`s latest injury but longer term, id guess at least 2 of the young forwards and 10s will go out on loan to get game time and more if they want another player in that area.

As it stands for me their strongest starting 11 we have just now is
Terrell
Fraser Tod Abdulai Kearney
Tod Gilmour Amade Morrison
Kane Shaw (you could say Rudden)
Subs
Benedictus, Davidson, Cooper, Bray,
Corbally, MacLeod, Fyfe, Sutherland, Young
For me we we need in my opinion as that bench is young plus I think a few will be loaned
2 x Goalkeepers.
1 x LB
1 x RB
2 x CB
2 X CM
1 x LM

Not sure on shaw, obv scores goals so has that knack of being in the right place at the right time but never really looked that great against us.
The likes o’hara, todorov, ryan, Reilly and Moffat etc all looked good and scored a shed load of goals until they joined us, here’s hoping this one is more like nisbet!
