Aye, all these star players are just sitting on the shelves in the football supermarket, available to whoever is prepared to pay the asking price. There`s no need to negotiate with the player, his agent or maybe even his club. It`s a cinch.

The missed trick in terms of marketing was not being able to keep the thousands who attended the cup final engaged in the quiet close season.

-More engagement on socials in terms of dates for strip launches ,when fixtures announced etc. Pitch maintenance, ground improvements etc.
-Maybe record some content during the regular season for use in the close season, " A Day in the Life of Mo Hutton" where his days work is portrayed for example, might have been a nice tribute to his time at the club.
-Some spotlights on the players who have been on loan, review their season, who might bridge the gap to the 1st team that sort of thing.
I think with little happening in the close season you probably have to pre-record a lot of the content, but the idea is to keep supporters engaged.
We know the hardcore support will turn up and renew but if you want to convert some of the 16,000 you can`t turn the switch off and turn it back on again and expect them to still be there.

Think you`re being EXTREMELY harsh.
The one thing that`s improved the most since the new owners arrived has been the SM team, especially in the run up to the cup final.

Weāre talking about the off season engagement, I agree there was some great content in the run up to and on cup final day, the dressing room montage still resonates.

I havenāt renewed yet, and TBH the reason I havenāt ran out and picked up my new one by now is that Iāve used the physical card for as long as theyāve been around ā¦and while it might seem petty, Iāve been put off by having to pay extra for it.
I know itās only a fiver, but Iām really starting to rile against mobile phones and needing an app for everything (blame digital Id threats, hampden app for two games, etc) and made a decision that any company that forces me to go mobile, provide id unnecessarily or penalise me for not using mobiles is not one Iām going to do business with.
Iāve already cancelled many subscriptions (eg Xbox live, Microsoft365, discord, starling bank, and many more) and hereās Dunfermline doing the same.
Penalising people for not using digital, eg club shop selling Hampden tickets an hour after people using a computer so the best seats were all gone, paying extra for not using a mobile to get your ST has just left a bit of a sour taste for me - I pay £385 for a season ticket which I think is more than enough to get a physical card

I seriously hope you never ever get caught up in a situation where the location you are has a complete power cut or your phone is completely useless because your service provider is down.

That`s what they said, but that`s just an excuse. What they could have done, but chose not to, is let those who did pick them up continue to do so as before and only charge those who didn`t.

Aye - double checked last year I paid extra £2.50 for it to be sent to my house -
didnāt have that option this year - Ā£5 and I have to go via ticket office before start of the season if I want physical one

Expect a lot more of this next season, bigger queues at turnstiles.
I havenāt ordered a physical card. I may just print out the new barcode and stick it over the barcode on last yearās card lol. And yes, Iāll have it on my phone in the āwalletā, but a physical card is certainly less faff to scan.

You can`t stick a bar code on an old card because the new card is a new card? They also say that you can`t send a screenshot of a digital ticket to other people`s phones, but it still worked everywhere we went last season except Hampden.
Of course they say you can`t, they want you to buy a new one for a fiver. The email I received with mine says "You can still use the ticket(s) attached in this email via mobile or print". So, you can print it off, you`re just not allowed to stick it to anything?

It wont be too long before Dunfermline up their scanners to bring in the same QR codes that they have at Hampden. Its the way forward to avoid scammers.

If its a barcode/QR Code there is nothing stopping you printing, attaching, sellotaping it to whatever you want!
At my old work we had an ID card printer. I use to make my own season ticket card using the bar code.

Just renewed my season tickets. Starting to get excited for what the up and coming season may bring. Itās good to see us get a couple of new faces in the door and to see what impact they have on the pitch. Great to see Gilmour get the captains armband, he was one of the standout players last year and Iām sure he will do us and his teammates proud. There was such a buzz around the club the 2nd half of the season and will be great if we can carry that feeling of connection into 26/27 season.
