I know there was a lot of talk about this a few weeks ago, i was wondering if anyone else was still having issues accessing anything club related from this season.
The last video i can see/access is the Dibaga interview.
I have scrolled through every page, clicked all available menu`s etc but can`t find anything more up to date.
Thanks for any advice anyone can give.
The flame still burns

I`d really like them to revert to posting a transcript of all interviews rather than just s video interview.

I get that the club are looking to drive traffic towards the shiny new website but can’t help but feel we’re shooting ourselves in the foot by not making it easily accessible or even as last available on You Tube.
Most will automatically think to visit You Tube for highlights and interviews etc. Prospective new fans will also probably head there as a first port of call.
Agreed on the transcripts too.
Pars are back.

A few weeks back, some of us came across the 2026/2027 YouTube playlists for match highlghts etc.
It looks like these have since been deleted or hidden from public view.
It looks like the club are forcing people down the route of watching them via the DAFC live page 😞

This is poor from the club.I posted that I was worried about them being hidden behind a paywall when it was announced. I suppose at least it isn`t quite that bad!
The views on the highlights must be tiny in comparison to those on YouTube.

“I like watching the highlights on my TV through YouTube”
If your tv can get YouTube you’ll be able to pull the internet up on it too 1 million percent is more complicated which again will stop people from doing it

I think the decision to restrict access needs to be reviewed, IMHO.

Is it a conscious decision to not have it on youtube or easy access on club website. Or is just a c*ck up by someone. Has anybody asked the club or have the club commented.
Because its very poor.

I suppose what it does is link brand with loyalty rather than allowing a third party to show the highlights.
I think it could be sold better if the website was more intuitive. Also, I am not really clear if there are or will be other benefits to signing up the the DAFC website such as special offers etc.

I’m not that clued up on this things, but would the club not receive money from YouTube if enough traffic was generated towards the videos?

Agree with this completely, I`m sure even using AI now they could quite easily have a transcript for those of us who would rather read at our leisure and not watch a video interview

The website is a bit of a mess sadly, need to do better here- the navigation, font sizes etc is a bit bizarre.
I agree with interviews, it`s a club interview, so I don`t want or expect much of real interest - just the usual injury updates, how we played (positive) etc. that`s fine for me. It generally gets printed in the Courier - banal is fine.
But the highlights should be easily accessible - it`s also a tool for promoting the club.

Marketing professional of 25 years about to add his tuppence...
First of all, I find the website "alright". I mean, it`s neither brilliant or poor but it does what it needs to from my perspective. I don`t share others grumps about the videos being hard to find. I just put dafc.co.uk/live into the browser and they`re all in front of me and the site keeps me signed in. I watch them at work on the big screen on my lunch and don`t cast anything to a telly so the net impact on me is zero. In fact, it keeps me off YouTube so it might even be a net positive!
That said, the decision to not post them on YouTube is one I do find a bit odd. I don`t know what the Pars are gaining by directing people to their own website as there`s no reward or payoff to the consumer for doing this. And, you`re potentially losing eyeballs who casually stumble upon things on YouTube.
The kind of people who are motivated enough to find you on a website have consumer loyalty baked into them already. Plus, football patronage is unlike pretty much all other customer behaviour regardless.
Overall... low personal impact but seemingly unnecessary friction for lots of other people. Maybe there`s a masterplan about to be uncovered that rewards people for being inside the body of the kirk. I can`t see it though.

I posted this elsewhere.
The YouTube channel is monetised and making about £300 a month, so not a lot.
Are they thinking they might make more revenue driving views to the website and having the videos on YouTube (Somewhere)? They can also gather personal data to target or sell on (I`ve not read the fine print).
Certainly less convenient, and will result in less views. Its a very antiquated way of doing things.

It just seems really sloppy. YouTube gives it an international audience. Who is going to go on the Pars website, navigate through all the crap menus, register and sign in just to find some highlights? The most sensible thing to do would be to publish on YouTube and embed on the website. This is basic stuff done by organisations everywhere.

More nonsense to complain about, if you saw the numbers who actually watched previous you tube highlights it’s in the lower end of thousands, so it seems like it’s mostly pars fans who are watching it.

It`ll be even lower now.
Looking at the highlights again on the website, it is just embedded on the website not using YT at all.
Looks like they want as many people signed up on the website as possible. They can then target advertising/sell sponsorship perhaps in the future. They have actual numbers, ages etc. Rather than little data via YouTube.
May also be looking to gather a chunk of free users in a bid to start locking content behind a pay wall. Chance to upsell at a later date.
This is all hypothetical of course.
Also side note, there is a cast option on the video.

False.
Roku TVs (TCL) and Roku sticks, for example, have a YouTube app but no general internet browser.
There are some casting workarounds but depends on the website.

Really surprised the people in charge of Pars Tv media this season are removing highlights from YouTube.
It provides a service you can actually watch on your tv instead of a small phone and whilst I’ll say their package on DAFC.Live is good in terms of more camera angles etc , they are missing a trick by trying to mimick the bigger teams who tend who have multi streams outwith the club on YouTube anyway.
Making it exclusive to one website is extraordinarily short sighted for a championship team especially for elderly fans who don’t have smart phones but have smart TV’s.

Got to admit, I used to regularly watch the highlights on YouTube, and occasionally the interviews too (although once you`ve seen one interview you`ve pretty much seen them all). YouTube is a convenient site. Since they haven`t been on YouTube, I`ve not bothered to have a look to see where they are. I`d imagine once Pars fans do find them, get used to it, and then are regularly accessing them, then they will probably bring in some kind of fee to access the content

We all access social media content in different ways & have different setups for watching live streams.
I view Pars content on YouTube
I view Pars content on Facebook
I view Pars content at https://www.dafc.co.uk/
I have not viewed any Pars content on Instagram, TikTok, etc
Over time, I may well move to accessing Pars content only at https://www.dafc.co.uk/
Watching a live stream, I use the Chrome browser on a Chromebook and use an HDMI cable to connect to an old television set. (Brian, stop laughing.)
