As much as I thought Rudden was poor last week, today could be an ideal game for him. Will be a battle & we’ll need his physicality up there. Harsh on Bray who I thought done well last week but the squad is big and if you’re disappearing in games you’ll lose your place.

I actually thought Rudden was decent last week. A couple of heavy touches but otherwise played with a bit of pace and aggression, which are things we often lack.

Very scathing comment DBA, JTH 123`s assessment of Ollie Shaw`s performance last week is pretty accurate. Doubt if any of us would be surprised, injury or not, if the manager generally wants him to be more aggressive in his approach.

That`s me told then! I hadn`t heard about the injury (obviously). I thought he played ok in the Ayr game but looked well off it against Ross County.

I wouldn`t be giving Rudden a start next week, not clear what his role is, but he isn`t offering much.
Arbroath happy with a draw at home and wasting time is embarrassing stuff tbh.

Our attack just lacks bite and Shaw and Rudden are ‘much of a muchness’! Still not delivering enough quality balls into the box though tbh. Need a total rethink up front!

Really we were well on top for most of the game. Alot more movement in the final third. Its just about converting those chances.

Cooper has single handedly won us half our league points so far.
We’re clearly not cut throat enough to be a top 3 side but at least we didn’t crumble when we went 1-0 down as has happened before.
Looking forward to Thomas coming in, as ever too nice upfront and lacking that bit of intelligence and movement to help facilitate the type of ball cooper scored from.
Hopefully Kane can start more games he’s the only one who works his socks off and has the quality to make things happen.

I think if we`d scored the first goal today we might have won by 2 or 3 clear. With them scoring first they could just continue to waste time, as they had done from the start.
We were brilliant at times in the first half, Oyirwoth was running rings around them and Abdullai was a rock. How unlucky was his scissor kick...
The team though still look a bit dysfunctional at times. Passing it back and forth across the back can be painful to watch, as you can see it`s giving the opposition time to get 11 men behind the ball. I`d like to see the midfielders/forwards (wide and central) bursting a gut to get into space so the pass can be forward. At times we`re like a rugby team where you can run forward with the ball for a bit, however passes always have to be backwards.
The choices out wide also frustrate me. Tod, Rudden and Adams (second half) when out wide don`t seem to want to just take a touch and get a cross in, or hit the byline and just drive the ball in. They don`t really think like wingers. If those crosses were expected then Shaw/Kane would know to run across their man, or the midfielders could make a late run. Some of the touches in those wide areas were quite poor.
Have to give some credit to Arbroath, they were solid and hard to break down. Ryan Flynn was excellent, just always in the right place. Michael McKenna looked more like the player from 2 or 3 years ago.
