Never thought I would live to see the day when blatant censorship of a political movement in the UK would exist.
Two independence bloggers have had their YouTube channels shut down by the BBC as they are apparently breaking copyright laws. They use clips of politicians who are against independence being economical with the truth , then dissect their comments and expose their bias.
Anti independence sites who also use similar clips , who by the same logic must also be breaking copy right regulations have not been similarly affected.
North Korea ?
Regardless of which side of the argument you are on this cannot be justified.

Do we really trust the BBC?
After the Bank's reaction to independence fiasco and how the BBC totally contradicted what Salmon was actually heard to say despite Salmond reading what the Banks had written to him, do we need to wonder any more.
You can include the repeated reiterations of the pension scare despite the fact that DWP had said publicly early on in the campaign that there was no risk to pensions if Scotland became independent.

the BBC clearly has an editorial and political position...
but then every news agency (including the BBC) does and you'd have to be pretty naive to think otherwise

Yes but they are different....or should be as they are using taxpayers money, Scottish taxpayers money to subvert democracy.
They should be impartial, or at the very worst slightly biased.
There bias is there for all to see and this issue now with blocking pro independence you tube channels while allowing anti independence channels to still show their material is beyond a joke.

What an opportunity we missed in 2014.

completely agree desperado
however i genuinely don't think you can remove institutional/editorial bias... so the only options i can think of are:
- the bbc is no longer funded via a 'tax'
- the bbc no longer produces it's version of the news
- we all accept it but realise that it's not the beacon of impartiality that for some reason we seem to think it is

This wouldn't be the same BBC that has been packed to the rafters with Tories?
Its effectively the governments propaganda machine these days. Anti independence and pro brexit.

Good to see the BBC have caved in and WOS YT Channel is now back up and running.
Think the BBC have made a right horses a..e of the whole thing.
Mr Campbell certainly does his homework and has won a few legal battles over the years.

It has just been discussed at length on Radio Scotland's weekly media review. It seems it was a decision taken in London with no consultation with BBC Scotland although they put forward a BBC Scotland PR man to explain the decision.

And Labour councillor Scott Arthur responsible for the original complaint to the BBC despite him having the same material on his own YouTube website.

BBC is so biased its in danger of falling over. They fawn to the Royals, the cow tow to the Tories, they almost salivate about UKIP and Nigal Farage. They haye The SNP and most of all thetll say and do anything to attack Corbyn. But they've always been this way. They represent the establishment the elite 1%ers. It's only now that finally people are opening their eyes
Be true to who you are

I've really had enough of the BBC and would really like to stop paying the licence fees, but what do you have to do ensure you don't break the law? I'm presently with Virgin Media...

Just don't pay, average fine for two years avoidance £75....even if you are caught you make a decent saving.
I've never paid...never had a minutes bother.
