 Is Bojo a prostitute?
Topic Originator: onandupthepars
Date:   Mon 30 Sep 10:15

I couldn't resist it but what I mean of course is

Is Bojo prostituting himself, i.e.selling himself and the nation, to hedge-funders.

Apologies for my political ignorance but after reading the 'Byline Times' article (hot-linked initially by Busspasspar and linked below) which I thought made things clear, I'm now puzzled as fek.

Could well be wrong but it seems! the story so far is:

Hedge-funders stand to make billions out of a 'no deal' Brexit?
The Tories receive big donations from hedge-funders.
Therefore BJ and Tories are on hedge-funders side and driving for 'no deal' ?

What I don't understand is:

Many Tories voted for May's deal?
Tory rebels and the Opposition against?

That doesn't add up. It seems to mean the 'bad guys' (hedge fund supporters) voted for a deal and the 'good guys' against.

Of course BJ wasn't PM when May's deal was voted down. Is it the case that May wasn't on the side of hedge-funders but BJ is?

Are hedge-funders and Bojo in league and driving for no deal?

Reasonable forecast or scaremongering?

'A week before the Government’s official spending watchdog, the Office for Budget Responsibility, warned that a ‘no deal’ Brexit would shrink the UK economy by 2% in 2020 and trigger a recession. The Centre for Economic Performance at the London School of Economics has forecast that the average household could lose between £2,519 to £5,573 per year from real incomes over the next 15 years.'

No.

A prostitute is a sex worker and Johnson has never done an honest day's work.

He is a sex thief.

You guys know more about it than me, but I'm on the trail and making an effort.

I'm trying to keep it simple for others who, like me, are puzzled.

Something that could be interpreted as evidence that BJ is driving for 'no deal' is that he 'withdrew the whip' (/kicked out) 21 of his own MPs who voted for the Act that's to prevent 'no deal'.

Correct?

He said it was damaging the government's negotiating position and handing control of Parlaiment to the Opposition.

Is that believable?

(I'm shaking my head). I want to believe it. Having the PM and powerful others working determinedly for 'No deal' is what you'd expect of some corrupt foreign government, not ours. That's what we've come to? From what I've seen of BJ and Rees-Mogg on TV, they just come across as plain untrustworthy.

Rees-Mogg is the Leader of the House. Right hand man of the PM? I saw someone who asked for an apology after someone said Parliament is 'dead' and certain MPs are 'turkeys'. Rees-Mogg said instead of turkeys they should have been called 'chickens'. Not exactly dignified for someone in such a position of power.

Yes Wotsit, I laughed. Go to the top of the class.

Would be lovely to hear such lines delivered by Corbyn in the House..

Pleading and indignation from the Opposition only goes so far, it doesn't achieve much. I was thinking what if the Opposition turned the PM's insults back on him? But no, that's what he wants I think, to fight fire with fire. No, best if the Opposition could make out they're not rattled and deliver some humour. Fancy sending them some good lines?

Would've been funnier if I'd said he's a 'sex pest' given recent, and lingering, doubts about his respect for women's bodily autonomy.

The article quoted has been shown by the FT, no lover of Brexit or Boris, to be a load of unsubstantiated cr@p.
Just another coordinated attempt by Remoaners to undermine the Prime Minister.
They are starting to panic and now being investigated to see if they enlisted help from the EU and France to draft the Surrender Bill.
Traitors as Boris would say.

Traitors to what?

The man who deliberately lied to the Queen?

The PM who can't win a single meaningful vote?

Seems like "good treason" to me.

“The man who deliberately lied to the Queen?“

Another misrepresentation of the facts. He was advised prorogation was lawful and acted on that advice.

I couldn’t fail to notice.

The Remoaners have never accepted the referendum result and have tried every trick aided and abetted by a biased Speaker to frustrate and tie the U.K.’s hands in the negotiations.

The Surrender Bill is just about their last chance.
Just call an election and let the people decide if you believe in democracy.

There will be no election until the cross party can secure that a no deal option is taken out of the equation

Do you really want a no deal Parbucks ?

No deal is better than a bad deal except Mrs May never understood that with agreeing to the Withdrawal Bill.

By the way it was also voted down by the Opposition parties who since then can never come up with anything they can agree on except opposing no deal.

So much for democracy when 80% of MP’s were elected in 2017 on manifestos which said they would honour the referendum result.

With the blatantly biased actions of the “independent “ Speaker it is no surprise people are losing respect in the Parliamentary process and elected members.

Bring on a general election.
Let the people decide.

Where did I say that?

I didn't not say it, but I didn't say it either.

Let's look at your argument another way: was Iraq more Tony Blair or Peter Goldsmith's fault?

I had to Google Peter Goldsmith's name by the way - I had no idea who the man was who advised Tony Blair that the Iraq Invasion was legal.

So what do you call the opinions of the judges in the High Court:
Lord Chief Justice, Master of the Rolls, President of the Queen’s Bench?

Are they deluded?

They ruled unanimously it was a political not a judiciary matter as has been debated on another thread.

The jury is out (ha,ha) on whether the Supreme Court can survive without scrutiny of the judges’ political affiliations or beneficial interests if they interfere in politics or the parliamentary process in future.

Without digging a bit I seem to recall that Goldsmith’s opinion on Iraq changed from his original position probably influenced by Campbell who is known to be the “darkest” political adviser of that era perhaps akin to Cummings today.

Why should the decision of the English High Court take precedence over the Supreme Court who agreed with the Scottish Court of Session, a higher court than the English High Court? Are we supposed to believe that all eleven Justices sitting in the Supreme Court were 'remainers'? This country is becoming more and more like the US. Would making political appointments to the Supreme Court make you feel better?

<<< The UK had a withdrawal agreement and it was opposed by Right wing fascist Tory's >>>

120 Tories voted against it.

source:https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-46885027

(What does that imply? Scratching brain now)

Yes, but the vote was 202 for, 432 against. 312 Opposition Members voted against it as well.* Why did they do that? Were they unwitting accomplices?

Is it justifiable to say the 120 Tories who voted against May's deal were 'fascists' (ref:Buspasspar, above) when 312 Opposition Members did the same?

*(Parbucks points that out in his 21:13 post.)

Perhaps those 'Leave' voters who are angry at Opposition MPs might be more honest to direct it at the 'Tory 120.'

If those Tories who voted against May's deal had voted for it, it would have passed.

We MAY have had Brexit by now.

432 minus 120 = 312

202 plus 120 = 322

May’s withdrawal bill would leave us in a customs union, tied to the EU through the back stop with no means of escape and unable to negotiate FTA’s with other countries. In addition we would be subject to EU regulatory authority with no
influence and continue under ECJ jurisdiction in many instances.
Meanwhile we would have paid £39bn for hee haw in return and no negotiating clout going into trade negotiations.

Add all that up then no deal is better than a bad deal.
By the way no deal is infinitely better than a Marxist Corbyn led government.

I note the proposed “ government of national unity” is still not united as they can’t agree among themselves.
A bit of a misnomer anyway as it excludes representatives of the 52% who voted Leave.
What a bunch of muppets and losers.

Remind me, what did Johnson do which was helpful to the process during those three years?

I seem to remember him being obstructive throughout. Almost as if he were acting out of self-interest.
