Do you have an idea as to why?

“I am delighted to suggest it’s a victory for the SNP, but it’s also a victory for people of my way of thinking about our constitution, and this is important because, within this House, we are the Parliament of the whole of the United Kingdom.”

EVEL contradicts the idea the Tories are now promoting that the UK is one nation, so it has to go. With an 80-odd majority it probably makes no difference but it could be problematical with a narrower majority.

What wee eck suggests.
I'd go further and suggest it's a pathway towards removing devolved governments. If the rest of the UK votes on English only legislation then why can't the rest of the UK vote on N.Irish, Scottish or Welsh legislation? In fact, wouldn't it be better if we just had one government? Maybe it could be in our capital?
Probably being cynical, but it seems suspicious. Hopefully the first piece of legislation relates to massive tax increases on dodgy Tory MPs.
