It`s difficult to find any nowadays but here`s a bit of good news from Transport Scotland :-
`Over 50 million free bus journeys have been made since the Scottish Government introduced free bus travel for under 22s over a year ago.
The Scottish Government’s concessionary bus travel schemes are the most generous in the UK, with over 2 million people across Scotland now eligible for free bus travel. Everyone in Scotland under the age of 22, everyone 60 and over, and disabled people and companions can benefit from free bus travel.`
Good for the environment, good for the welfare of our population, good for the economy and another step towards tackling child poverty but the MSM don`t seem to have latched on to the story. It was buried in a BBC Scotland news bulletin I heard but doesn`t seem to be featured in their online news. Can we expect the Scottish Daily Mail and Express to lead with it any time soon?

Have to say my youngest one benefited from this... Got a job which would not have been cost effective is she had to pay rush hour commuting costs
Also now she`s at university (art school), she`s used this to travel to different places to visit galleries and exhibitions that she otherwise couldn`t have afforded

Hope she enjoys Art School, my daughter was at the Edinburgh one many years ago!

I think most people know that `free` is shorthand for `free at the point of use`. Some folk don`t mind paying a wee bit more tax for the greater good.

I`m 51. I`ve worked full time since 1988. I haven`t had a proper pay rise since 2014. Personally I`m utterly fkn sick of paying a "wee bit more tax" to benefit someone else's idea of the greater good
Thanks once again for telling us what to think tho Eck

I said `some folk` so you`re obviously not included. Where exactly am I telling people what to think? I`m expressing an opinion.
