Cancel Brian 👍
I travelled through Texas with my wife en route to a wedding in Mexico during Trump`s first term.
We both had visas to enter USA, just in case they forced us to go through immigration (which they did) en route to our connecting flight.
They arrested my wife for two hours in a holding pen insisting she re-apply and pay for her visa (which she couldn`t because their records showed she already had one).
ICE where extremely arrogant and would not see common sense nor see our proof insisting it was our problem.
We were completely trapped and at their mercy but eventually her name was called and without uttering a word threw both our passports at us like a petulant child.
We left and caught our flight to Mexico.
Our American friends that we met were disgusted.

Visiting America isn`t something I have ever been that interested in, not met many Americans who have made it seem like I`m missing out on anything, they have all tended to be a££holes. With all the nonsense with Trump, there`s no chance I`d want to visit now. And that`s with a free 4 bedroom holiday home on offer. It just sounds rubbish. Our relatives go, and by the sounds of it their idea of a good night out is a bit like going up to somewhere like that soulless hole up at the Odeon, and going to crappy theme parks

I`ve been to Canada and always fancied a roadtrip across the random old towns in the US you don`t see in films or brochures as I find that quite attractive. I`d need to wait until the kids are moved out now as they`d ruin it! But I`m not really that enamoured by the US anymore. It`s a bit like here where it feels like there are just more and more thick people. I don`t think people have become less intelligent, just that the thickest seem to have become louder through use of social media.
The perfect example today is the numpties who don`t realise these tariffs are paid by THEM and not exporter. Many seem to struggle to understand that big American companies like Amazon, Apple, McDonald`s etc don`t send all the things WE buy from the US. It`s genuinely baffling how blinkered some Americans can be. Do they think there`s a massive McDonalds factory that distributes frozen burgers around the planet?

I guess this is not politics :o)
Toronto for a week, fly to Calgary very nice there
then a weeks drive to Vancouver and there for a week
could take the Rockies Express but I wanted to tour the area rather than just see it from the train
best to go is June/July. went there 6 years ago, was excellent.

Vegas is still the dream - Im a big poker fan, so to play in Vegas would be my ultimate experience. New York again is still another trip I want to go on as I loved my first visit.
The rest? Not interested at all really - although the Mrs does want to go to Disneyworld Florida 🙄
Id love to go to Canada again though - last time I was there I was 3 and don’t remember much!

Trump is talking-up that foreigners are to blame for looting, raping, pillaging and plundering American jobs and stealing their American dream.
Soon, when things become more expensive, those same Americans may become even more angry at us for causing all this mess.
They genuinely follow him like a cult hero.
