Ha ha...good response Eck.
If we vote SNP on the constituency and another Independence candidate on the list the we should win 70+ Independence seats....locking out the yoons.

Ah…I’m rethinking this. SNP will turn their attack dogs on Ewing, split the Indy vote, and a Yoon will nick it

Does it matter? It`s a foregone conclusion that we`ll have Lib-Lab. The only thing that could potentially scupper it would be if Reform get too many seats. They won`t be able to form a government as no-one will partner with them, but it would potentially allow for an SNP minority.

So it`s a foregone conclusion that it will be a lib-dem pact or maybe that won`t happen as Reform might get some seats and then the SNP might get in on a minority....
I think the SNP will win most of the constituency seats, and hopefully, other independence candidates benefit from the list seats...

I agree, independence voters need to really think about their votes. I`ve seen SNP Candidates/ Members say the best thing to do is vote SNP 1 & 2, but I don`t think that is the best way. It`ll be SNP 1 & ALBA 2 for me (or whichever independence candidate is available). I think that gives the best chance of returning the independence candidate with the best chance of winning and some candidates from the list too

90% the former, 10% the latter.
10% relates to the potential for Sarwar to c*ck it up.

We could vote in an entire parliament of Indy parties, it wouldn’t make one jot of difference - we wont be allowed independence.

The vote SNP 1 and 2 or the Vote SNP 1 and say Alba 2 is more complicated. Either option is viable but it depends on the situation in each individual constituency.
Will need to think carefully about it nearer the time.
What an opportunity we missed in 2014.

But why vote for the SNP so many claim have been terrible or an Alba party who are completely unproven? Neither can gain Scottish independence.

Indeed they`re not, might even do some leafletting for DB...the more seats the lovely SNP wins in the constituency list the greater the chances that a different independence candidate has of getting in on the list.
Apparently 8% needed to get a list candidate elected.

I think this could be very interesting.
The performance of Independents in the Scottish Parliament is patchy - Denis Canavan may be the best example of someone with a long track record and large personal vote who was successful.
I think the key factor will be how many of Fergus`s supporters will quit the SNP to campaign for him. If enough do, and he can establish himself as a contender, he could take the seat - he is independent enough (and right-wing enough) to get a lot of anti-SNP votes. particularly since Edward Mountain will not be standing against him this time.
I think a lot of elections become two horse races, even if it can take the electorate a couple of elections to work out who the 2 horses are.
