Getting a facelift soon to match Bella Italia and Smashburger building.
Long overdue as the buildings look tired now.

I am always shocked that there are so many food places out there. Can't see who would want to drag themselves out to a car pack on the edge of town to eat poor quality grub from a chain restaurant. Would be much better seeing some investment in the City Centre

It was the busiest Odeon cinema in the UK at 1 point not sure it still holds that title and the McDonalds was highly placed too within the top 50 in the UK.

Chain food appeals to the current generation personally microwave reheats and processed food doesn't appeal to me.

Saying that the Sweet Chestnut Sunday roast is not the worst I've had when we are too busy too cook our own!

The Odeon is highly criticised in my workplace as being overpriced and uncomfortable seats. Locals even travelling to Edinburgh Glasgow Dundee to watch pics which backs up views, including going to other Odeon's!

Seems to be popular with young families and teenie boppers. The eateries cater for unadventurous palettes and children, of with there are loads out there.

Folk that go on about investing in high streets need to understand that the high streets will never return to their previous glory regardless of investment.

Supermarkets, retail parks, leisure parks and the internet has taken over now. The consumer generally wants convenience and high streets by design are not as convenient.

I think people like the idea of a bustling high street with varied independent shops but there's not enough people willing to make the effort to shop in Town or spend a bit more to make it financially viable for people to run these type of shops.

The Odeon Luxe in Wester Hailes is cheaper than Dunfermline with better quality reclining seats. You do have to venture in to Wester Hailes of course.

I prefer going to the Kino in Glenrothes or the Dominion in Morningside on the odd occasion I go to the cinema.

The odeon is expensive, its dearer than the cinema at ocean terminal where all the seats are leather recliners with their own tables.

£16 for an adult at the Odeon is the reason I’ve not been back there. Bloody ridiculous. I don’t drive either so factor in bus fares then maybe a wee sweetie or two. Jeesh.

I agree RedStarPar - wish there was more investment in town. Plenty of restaurants there tho.
