Oh dear. Sometimes I catch his Five Live Saturday morning show and he can be quite witty at times but how can somebody, and I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt here, be so stupid.
And although my eyes were open
They just might as well be closed

It was a stupid post considering his position, and I thought he had dealt with it the right way but apparently not.
If he were a racist then it would be the right thing to sack him over this. I don't think this is the case and a slap on the wrist might have been more appropriate.

It's hard to believe he didn't think this would be considered racist. The lack of judgement by some people in public life never ceases to amaze me.

Hang on a minute though...don't all the boffins in white lab jackets tell us we ALL share a common ancestry with monkeys?
What are the rules to delineate "Science" form racism in this case?

Classic double standards from Auntie.
Alan Sugar posted a much more 'offensive' tweet than Danny Baker but still they commission series after series of The Apprentice.
And let's not even start on how they actively covered up nonces like Saville and co.
Baker was/is a clown, but sacking him seems very extreme for this.

Well I doubt anyone at the beeb now had anything to do with Saville and maybe you can remind me who the PM was when Saville was knighted? 40 years ago today and all that.

Savile was a regular visitor to Thatcher at Christmas. I'm fairly sure he wasn't there to talk about the pop charts. Friends in very high places

"Still giving Farage and his rent a mob a platform!"
You mean by inviting the leader of a party currently polling at 30% ahead of important elections on to a political talk show? Yeah, controversial right enough.

Despite never having held anything but an MEP position he has now appeared on QT 33 times. Seems a bit much to me.

It was a UK wide poll rather than 'Little England'. They're polling around 15-18% in Scotland too.
You're doing the electorate quite a disservice with your rather disparaging remarks.
