No problem with the defence pleas. That's what a lawyer is supposed, in fact is honoured to do, represent the defendant to the best of his ability. My problem is with the judge imposing a minimum tarrif of only seven years. If that is what the law says is the maximum term that he could hand down then the law needs changed.

Maybe so but its not a pretty sight when every underhand dirty tactic is used in court to defend some scumbag. I was a juror in a case a few years ago and the way that innocent witnesses were spoken to by the defence lawyer in his attempt to discredit their evidence was disgusting.

It was more to do with him trying to negotiate the type of sentence TOWK once found guilty.

The minimum seems far too low but it is in reality irrelevant. The OLR will almost certainly mean he never gets out.
