Afraid I can't remember names but recall there were some nice places in the old town close to their equivalent of the city chambers. It's a pedestrianised area but the taxis can get fairly close.

Was there 11 years ago, I was present at my daughter's conception :-)
Take her to Monaco and propose there.

No particular recommendation Raymond outside of eat in the old town for the sake of your wallet. No shortage of good restaurants though.

Good advice from Warrington Par about eating in the Old Town. A lot cheaper than at the restaurants down on the seafront where most visitors go.
While on the subject of wallets, be cautious of pickpockets. There are many dubious looking characters to be found milling about in the streets of Nice.
If you are planning on going over to Monte Carlo, take the train. It is fast, the views are great and it is as cheap as chips.

Cheers, Oz
Plumped for a restaurant called Le Panier in the old town and plan to get the train to Monte Carlo for a wee nosey during the day . See if we can rustle up some euros for a coffee and cake!
