Guy at my work, who isn't especially technically minded, fitted his own last weekend using a YouTube tutorial video. Dunno how you'd feel about attempting something similar. If in any doubt don't!

Most important bit is using clothes pegs, or similar, to snag the loose wire(s) to stop them falling down the back of the oven before ypu swap in and secure the new element.

Ten minute job, really straight forward

It depends on the oven really. The ones that are changed by removing the panel inside the oven are pretty straightforward. The ones where the back of the oven needs dismantled aren’t quite so easy.

I understand how it's fitted. But the old element,is not screwed on ,its on with two pins, and no way can I get them off, without damage to electrical stuff behind it.So frustrating .No matter how hard I try they just won't pull off.

changed the element in the mother in laws oven last month I thought it was as easy as pull out plug in, no I ended up having to remove the back panel and unscrew 2 nuts on the rear of the element.

No great drama but 16 screws holding on the back panel.

This is beginning to read like an episode of ''24''. Maybe we could extend it into a series.
