No more heroes anymore. Remember seeing the Stranglers at the ballroom back in the day and Falkirk maniqui. R .I P Dave.

Remember blasting No More Hero’s anymore and playing the air keyboard on the coffee table, eyes shut and going for it. When I finished I looked up and my maw was just standing there staring in disbelief and walked away without saying a word.

Could have been worse I suppose.

I would have been about 15 I think. Love that song, love the Stranglers.

Never seen them live I am sorry to say.

RIP Dave.

Shocking news. Coronavirus strikes again. Saw the Stranglers three months ago and they were brilliant - a simple set, great music well played.

A dude in the front row recorded the concert, which is now on YouTube...

Dave Greenfield's keyboard was always central to the band. Who will ever forget WaltzinBlack? I bet they play it at his funeral.

He wrote Golden Brown, if I'm not mistaken?

Don’t bring Harry.....

With its majestic sweeping piano & quirky chord changes - Sublime.

I was impressed as a 15 year old as I still am today.

Promised myself that I would go and see them so many times and never got round to it.
Black and White would be in my top 10 albums of all time. Funnily enough so would Parallel Lines. Must be supporting the Pars that did it.
