Many dotnetters have infested this forum - me included - for a good number of years.🙂 Some of us have used the same username throughout, but others through choice or out of necessity, have changed theirs.
Some posters immediately recognise returning posters (or at least think they do) because they give themselves away with something they say, or by their distinctive writing style. I'm not much cop at that myself, as I invariably forget those usernames which no longer appear.
On another thread today, a poster suggested that EEP, who is currently serving a red card ban, was none other than Secure Par, who disappeared from Dotnet some months ago. I thought it might be fun if we could try and guess the prevous identity of some of our newish posters, if applicable, as long as this doesn't contravene any forum rules. Those "outed" can confirm or deny, say nowt, or even "out" themselves if they're minded to.
I'll kick off with Hail2Crail and guess that he used to post as Captain Desmond Fancy.

Secure Par no longer posts on dotnet and has asked me to tell you that he is NOT EEP but he does know him.
EEP used to call himself Tonic Par.

A lot of people left this site after the masterton saga and all the bizarre things that happened in this site at the time but I’d say the majority either don’t or rarely post due to the forums being completely boring now. There are no real characters or humour anymore. The threads are pretty dull usually and they sit for ages with little traffic compared to maybe 15 years ago. It’s a pity but this site will never get back to how good it once was.

I always suspected it might have been but didnt know for sure!
Have never met the guy but I used to find his progressively more abusive drunken Saturday night posts followed by the inevitable red cards pretty amusing tbh. Never normally meant with any real malice. D1ck splash.

I know DD quite well and he's a top guy. He left this forum amid the fallout from the Pars near extinction under Gavin Masterton and he won't be back.
He recently suffered a family tragedy, which no parent should have to suffer and no longer posts on the EEB forum either.

Really sad to read that GG. He did come across as someone you would have a laugh with over a pint. Hope him and his family are doing as well as they can after something like that.

Sad to hear that too. I've met Dave a few times and he's a sound bloke.

Allot of that is down to the rise in Facebook and Twitter, you can have fairly instant discussions now on objects

Both Twitter and Facebook have been around over 10 years. I think it was more an issue with the Masterton era. A lot of people were saying things that were arguably correct but could have gotten Brian into a fair bit of bother.

Aye, he's a sad miss on here and like a good number of entertaining posters, he's now to be found on the EEB. He's toned his posts down quite a bit, too.

So sorry to hear about DD's loss. He's a gentleman and he has my deepest sympathies at this difficult time.
I miss Shooboax and Fu too and a few others.

Now, on the topic of those who have chosen to continue to boycott this site for seven years despite numerous apologies and plentiful invitations from posters to come back where they would be warmly welcomed, now is the time to stop this fecking nonsense once and for all.
You have made your point; we are all mightily impressed by your resilience. So, very well done, you boys!
Now, please stop being obstinate Scots. That is our worst, not our best, trait.
So stop being a shower of tossers. Stop being absolute fannies. Get yourselves back on here now. Your point has been made; let bygones be bygones once and for all.
And if you don't, then kindly GTF and don't come shadowing this site ever again. And yes, we all know that you do... every one of you!
If you continue to do so, you are cowards and you are pathetic.
Time to fess up and be men!
Your hump is over. Right???

Can't imagine shooboax or his brother will be back on.
That's obviously up to them but it'd be good to see them back along with all the others. I don't mind EEB but it's pretty empty. We must have one of the most active fan forums in Scottish football here.

I've been in touch with DD and he's appreciative of the kind words from posters on this thread but I can confirm that he and Chantelle are not connected in any way - and never have been. 🙂

I know him too(Inglis), but my other mate Mikey (not a Pars fan)is also a DJ and used to play drum and bass nights in Montys many years ago.He went out with Bex-maybe Inglis did too? My mate is no longer based in Dunfermline and concentrates on more hip hop/jazz nowadays.

I remember the drum and bass nights although I only popped my head in on one occasion as none of my mates are fans.
I don't know if it was your mate that was on but I was surprised by the quality as Dunfermline isn't really a hot spot for it. It was a shame it didnt really take off as the town needs a bit of diversity in the music you get.
