RIP

90 is a good innings and he’s had a decent life. Should be a few old Bond films on over the weekend.

I wonder how many stories there are like this? Some utter nonsense and some surprisingly true no doubt.

90 is a good age, and he looked very good for 90. Was a great ambassador for Scotland

Shame. He did indeed go to Pars games as a very young boy when visiting his grandparents who lived at Lossodie.

That’s it, I’m officially depressed now. I love Sean Connery. He was a proper bloke. Never suffered fools and wasn’t a total bullshitter. Shame he didn’t get to see his dream of an independent Scotland. Will be missed.

Sleep well big Tam.

I agree that The Hill is always worth a watch and would add The Offence where Sean plays a police detective at the end of his tether when questioning a suspected sex attacker.

Met him in Centenary Club hospitality box he was guest of David Murray when we played the Blue Noses think Paul Le Guen was manager of them. Man of few words but more than happy to sign our match programmes.

RIP Sean, I remember reading that when young you went to see us. At least you were easily the best Bond, so you and Goldfinger will now be able to talk.

Bit of Goldfinger trivia. The actor who played Goldfinger was Gert Fröbe. However its not his voice you hear during the film. His english wasn.t up to scratch so his voice was dubbed over so it wasn.t actually Fröbe who delivered the memorable line "no Mr Bond, I expect you to die".

In Highlander he played an Egyptian with a scottish accent while a French man played a Scot with a terrible Scottish accent!

The only Russian submarine commander to have a Scottish accent. Who cares? If he was in a film it was usually worth watching.

To be fair none of the Soviet naval officers have been speaking English let alone with a Russian accent. Watched the movie only last night and so I can tell you his character was actually Lithuanian.
So many great films that I had forgotten all about and a few I have never even seen. Going to try and catch Finding Forrester, it.s got a very good imdb score.

"The Untouchables" is a good film - but on a par with Braveheart for historical accuracy.

There was no Irish-American cop in Ness`s team, and Frank Nitti committed suicide in a railway yard 10 years after prohibition ended in 1933.

Sir Sean said that "The Hill" was the best film of his career.
