I had some work done recently and the price quoted from 3 sources was far more than i expected.
Good luck

Why get a gardener to quote for a joiners work?

Does anyone that has had work done by any of the above (or anyone else for that matter!) Have a rough idea of price per m for installing a new 6ft boundary fence?
I know there are sites that will tell you an average, but looking for an idea of what to expect in the Dunfermline area.

We had a 12m fence built last year. £650.

Depends on materials used of course. It could vary a lot.
I was quoted between 300 and 600 for 3.5m including a gate.
Peter from Lovely trees is doing it as we speak.

DBP consider doing it yourself ... its really not that difficult if you have basic DIY skills ... local timber yard will supply all the fencing and the quick set postcrete makes it easier than mixing concrete nowadays ....I did my own and my neighbours and the satisfaction you will get from the achievement and saving perhaps £600 is a Brucie Bonus

If you buy the materials yourself you will pay more than a tradesman. Check out the cost of the materials required then comparc that with getting it done professionally before attempting it yourself.

Hi yeah, got a couple of quotes and ended up buying the materials myself for a fair bit cheaper.
Can do it myself but it was more a question of time, but got a few days of coming up so it’s all sitting in the garage waiting to go...
Edited to say there’s a world of difference between how much you’ll pay at places like b&q versus your local timber merchant
