Just seen a number plate on the A92 that was quite neat.
Hopefully I am allowed to post it.
DA61 PAR
Football dedication, but not sure I would want to park it near away grounds on match day.
Anyone else got football themed registration plates.

I`ve often seen DA61 PAR parked near the ground on match days. It`s a gem of a number plate for Pars` fans but maybe doesn`t have the wide-ranging appeal of other personal plates so might not have been too expensive to acquire.

Appealing to a golfer too š
My mate was tempted to buy NM04 PAR when it came up for sale recently.
I had the pars badge on my car plates for a while. Have been told that my insurance company may see that as a modification! Iāve change cars since and didnāt bother to replace the plates again

By co-incidence there was an article in our local paper on the 1st car registration in Clacks - SL1. It is still in use by the Council, on loan from the owner.
These were introduced by law in 1903 - to identify a vehicle and driver.
Compulsory driving tests did come along until the summer of 1935.
Back in the day the Post Office was allowed to conduct its own driving tests - and the military likewise. Not sure if the latter still can nowadays.
My late father told me his introduction to ādriver trainingā in the WW2 army was to be put in the cab of a lorry along with the instructor, and ordered to crack on with absolute minimal explanation of the gears and brakes etc.

Correct.
I believe it is only on loan to the Council.
No idea how that works though.
