Very very sad news that this wonderful actor has passed away.
Think I`ll find Cracker and rewatch it.
Will be sadly missed.

Cracker was tremendous. Remember Robert Carlyle playing a nutter scouser Liverpool fan in an episode too. Sad news RIP.

The Still Game “Donuts” episode is brilliant my favourite episode, definitely a sad loss to the entertainment world.

Agree with the posts above. Robbie was a very versatile, smart guy, and I too enjoyed his role in Cracker. Really sad news. RIP Robbie.

So many brilliant roles he played. So much good telly. Young Ones. Blackadder. Comic Strip. Tutti Fruuti. Cracker. National Treasure. Bond & Hagrid too
Brilliant actor. RIP Robbie

I remember seeing him in a pub in Tollcross when he was doing theatre work in Embra before he became famous. He had a fantastic career.

Deeply saddened to hear this news. A magnificent actor in so many different roles and genres.
Cracker will always be a standout, especially that jaw dropping episode with Robert Carlyle, "To be a somebody".
But right now, when I think of Robbie Coltrane, I picture that fabulous ending to a Comic Strip episode where he purposefully walks along a sea wall during a full on gale. Frankie Goes to Hollywood`s `Two Tribes` providing the background music. It took some baws to to that. Tremendous!
RIP Big Man.

Saw an interview with him saying between being in James Bond and Harry Potter he knows his kids` kids` kids` will know who their great great grandad was 50-100 years from now, i thought that was a really cool idea to hold onto.
RIP
