With British Summer Time starting today, I`m looking out the sledge after hearing the forecast for the coming week. 🙂

Gravity will see to that, Buffy. I`d be much happier if you offered to pull me back up to the top while I sit on the sledge.

It`s Be Kind Tae Auld Folk week. 😉

I do find trekking up the footpath a right old pech from Comely Park. A match day towed bogey service would be very handy.

It doesn`t signify the start of British Summertime as in the climate, it signifies the start of British Summer Time, ie Daylight Saving has been removed.

Absolutely nothing to do with the weather although today is a beautiful spring day.

Following Digs` comment, let`s see if I can remember my navigation training from 50 years ago...

The equinoxes determine Spring and Autumn - when the sun is directly over the equator.

Summer and Winter are determined by the solstices - when the sun is directly over the Tropic of Cancer (northern hemisphere) or the Tropic of Capricorn (southern hemisphere). The Summer Solstice is the longest day; the Winter Solstice is the shortest.

Spring in Scotland began on 20 March this year and will end on 21 June. Summer starts on 21 June and ends on 23 September, when Autumn begins, and Winter begins on 22 December.

It was just an attempt at a wee bit of humour, Digs. I thought it was ironic that last week it was forecast that we were likely to see snow flurries at the start of this week, coinciding with the start of BST.

It`s by no means a record. In 1982, we had amazing weather during the school Easter holidays, followed by snow flurries during the week of the May day holiday. 🙂

Statistically, it is more likely to snow at Easter than it is at Christmas.
