😞
She has passed away today, aged 83.

I saw her in concert in the mid-90s at Murrayfield. Simply the Best.

Very sad. RIP, Tina. Great performer and she was good in Mad Max 2

Awww geez! My late wife and I went to see her in concert in Melbourne 20 years ago. She was wonderful. And those legs! Even in her sixties, they were things of beauty...

Nutbush City Limits is one of the all-time great pop songs. She had so many good songs.

RIP, beautiful lady.

It’s only 10 minutes but the energy from Tina Turner is like an entire show. She crams about 5 songs into this clip. The visual is a bit watery but the audio is fine. I think she did her best work with Ike Turner and in this clip she affectionately takes the pee out of him in a duet. When she dances into the audience you can still smell the heat off her skin even after almost 60 years.

Tina Turner was some performer and Ike knew to stay in the background when she hit the stage.
If you prefer to watch Tina’s sex on legs routine this is a better visual recording of the same show from 1966.

Tina was just something else, a singer and performer in a class of her own. Her iconic track, The Best, must have been written for her, with her in mind.

RIP Tina.
