A few of you already know - but to save me mentioning it in the new season updates (I’ve written a few wee comments in the past thanking her for her woolly socks and quips on our team’s seasons over the years) - I thought I’d tell you that we lost our lovely Mum, on the 19th May, to dementia. She was 90 years young. She fed, watered and knitted scarves for a plethora of pars fans who visited our house - a second mum to them all.

We gave Mither a good send off yesterday, and I’d like to say ty so much for the wonderful messages, thoughts and support from the Pars family. X

It doesn`t matter what age a mum reaches, losing her is probably the saddest point in most people`s lives. Perhaps you can take some comfort from the words one of my teachers said to me;

"Losing a parent is so sad, but it`s a natural order of life. The alternative would be that your parents would have to bury you - and that goes against nature."
