I count myself lucky to have seen Sinead perform live. Amazing voice, intriguing life.
As Kris Kristofferson wrote in his song `Sister Sinead`:
“And maybe she’s crazy and maybe she ain’t/But so was Picasso and so were the saints.”
Fame came to her
She didn’t seek it but her talent and song writing meant it was unavoidable and ultimately it destroyed her because of her outspoken views.
It’s the ultimate irony that she wanted to be heard but also didn’t want the limelight when it came.
