Robbie Robertson succumbs to prostate cancer aged 80.
They were Dylan’s backing band when he went electric much to the dismay of the folk purists. I remember the Last Waltz film of their farewell concert which had some great performances by guest artists..a particularly sparkling contribution by Joni Mitchell comes to mind.
What a terrible toll prostate cancer takes. Just about every week you hear of some public figure getting it or dying from it. Known quite a few guys myself,
and still miss my younger neighbour of over 30 years and our blethers over the fence.
The early possible symptoms are well known. Dinnae ignore them.
