 Covid - woe is me

Has anybody tested positive recently and developed the usual suspect symptoms ?

I got the bad news yesterday morning after using one of the NHS kits we retained.

We flew back from Malaga on Thursday and I reckon that is the likely source.

I was wasted Sunday into Monday - fatigue is a putting it very mildly - shuffling around like a zombie.

The current strain is awful. I`m convinced I had it last week but the tests kept coming back negative. Symptoms were:

Headache
Brain fog
Exhausted
Slight cough/mucus
Shortness of breath to the point I was ready to go to A&E

Although I felt a bit rough on the Sunday morning a test was negative - went to church which in hindsight was a tactical error.

Started to feel really lousy as the day wore on, then it really kicked in overnight.

High temperature, irritating cough, runny nose, leaden legs and overwhelming fatigue - all I wanted to do was crawl under a light downie and hibernate.

Fortunately "nurse" VEE was on hand to keep the show on the road - a stellar performance.

Must be a challenge to anybody living on their own.

Cheers OZ - feeling a bit better now, but still well off the pace.

The cough remains, not so much during the day - but trying to sleep at night is a mini ordeal - adopting the horizontal position triggers it.

Reading Jake and Big T`s similar issues - I reckon this new strain could well be the culprit.

Now Her Ladyship is positive - fortunately not as poorly (yet ?) as I have been.

As I said - the airplane back from Spain last week leads the suspects list - I would recommend anybody flying just now to consider a face covering and and a good dose of nasal spray up each nostril.

Might help ?

Muchas gracias Senor Buspasspar- your extended family are clearly impacted as I am ...and now `er indoors, although she is less poorly, so far.

There is no good news as you allude to.

If I test negative tomorrow - 50/50 I reckon - I`m on a Tesco mission.

Folks need to be careful out and about as this appears to be a developing contagion.
