I notice that the sports journalist of the Courier has picked up on GG Riva`s description of Andrew Tod as "Grandson of God". While absolutely buzzing about Andy`s hat trick and our 5 nil victory it got me thinking of the theological implications of the title.
The Biblical view of the question could be taken from John`s Gospel chapter one which tells us that "Jesus (son of God) came to the world, which was made through Him, but His own did not receive Him. Yet to all who did receive Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God.
So we all may become children of God. It`s called being born again, as in John 3 verse 3.

Funnily enough I used the term "Grandson of God" on social media this morning to describe the young master, and then got a couple of messages asking the reason why, from a couple of journo acquaintances. Who writes for The Courier?

That`s the sort of accusation that is often levelled at me, but, I say unto them "let he who is without sin, cast the first stone

I wasn`t having a go red star just making what I thought was a slightly flippant comment as to how the Courier got the title.
