I was in Melbourne last night to watch an open-air concert in the beautiful botanical gardens. It was a balmy evening as we sat on the grass under the stars, watching Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds deliver a tight, enjoyable set. The acoustics were fabulous.
Just across the river, I could hear cheering from the Tennis Centre as Novak Djokovic won his Australian Open semi against Jannik Sinner.
After the concert, we walked to Southbank and ate one of the finest Chinese meals I have ever had.
Despite all the gloom and doom around us, there is still much to enjoy and be thankful for.
All that is required now for my weekend to be perfect is for the Pars to deliver a win against Airdrie.
