Reading about the rises at the pumps and diesel costing £2.00 a litre, the companies raking in the profits!
Meanwhile out here in Tenerife, the great oil producing nation, it was €1.77 a litre.
RIP off Britain!🤔😡😎

Russia`s oil is under UN sanctions so nobody should be buying it, therefore should have no effect on oil prices.

It has been pretty well documented that the Black Fleet is still in full-effect and states are still buying it. That`s why folk were a bit surprised at Modi`s words to Putin a couple of weeks ago.
Sky News have done some good work tracking some of the ships, including their accompanying warships which seem to kick out more fumes than the fuel on the carriers would provide.

Its nothing new. The oil companies got to keep those profits rolling. It just filters down the chain till the consumer cant purchase any fuel. Will one day become an issue when trucks cant get on the road due to no fuel/fuel costing too much.

Shell garage on Hendry Rd in Kirkcaldy was ALWAYS at least 10p a litre dearer than the supermarkets. Now they`re all the same....in fact Morrisons is 1p a litre dearer.
We`re getting shafted.

Some of the highest prices are in island and rural areas, including 238.8p and 223p in the Hebrides and 209.0p and 208.9p in the Northern Isles.”

I don`t know what the situation in the UK is, but here in Australia, our fuel stocks are becoming a serious cause for concern. We have a website called "Lastdrop.au" that reports our oil stocks in real time. We are supposed to have a minimum stockholding of 90 days` supply, but Australia`s performance against that 90-day obligation has been inadequate for a long time—even before the Middle East conflict. Currently, we have stocks equivalent to 33.6 days of petrol consumption, 26.4 days of diesel, and 22.5 days of jet fuel.
What concerns me most are the stats showing that on ships bound for Australia, we only have 2.4 days of petrol, 1.4 days of diesel and 1.3 days of jet fuel.
We look to be heading for a world of trouble.
Our fuel prices are similar to yours at the moment, but the price increases at the pump are accelerating. Consumer prices more broadly have risen quite dramatically in recent months. Trucks use diesel, and we have huge distances between population centres.
Unless the supply situation improves—and who is confident of that?—I fear that we could face restrictions on fuel purchases or even rationing at petrol stations very soon. And I doubt too many of us will be flying very far for a while.
