Colquhon obviously has a say in what players to bring in but the buck has to stop with the manager. He sees them in training every day and sets them up to play a certain way.

Of all the January signings, I would only keep the two who are contracted for the coming seasons, and perhaps one other, and send the rest back to their parent clubs. As was mentioned in another post, I think we signed quantity over quality.

Whoever was in charge of the January recruitment is to blame, not sure who it was but pretty sure it wasn’t Tidser.

The fans are to blame. We are all dinosaurs. We follow the outdated philosophy that to win you have to score at least one goal, and to score you generally have to be in the vicinity of the oppositions’s goal. We should be salivating about the number of passes made and ignore the fact that probably 1 in 4 are misplaced.
Wake up fellow Pars fans - the team is now trying to play ‘the right way’.

Yes indeed parplod, glory in the possession stats. A thumping 57% last night. That is the real victory after all.

Cook 100%. As the saying goes “ Too many Cooks spoil the broth “ and we have one too many…Having a fiddler on the roof also has not helped, time him and his cohort were booted into the long grass…
What an opportunity we missed in 2014.

You really think John Colquhon is picking the team and the tactics?
They’ve apparently used him as an advisor but if you’re able to read between the lines, he’s getting preferential treatment when it comes to signing his players. He’s a major player in terms of football agency in Scotland. I very much doubt he would be interested in the daily/weekly objectives involved in running a team. It would divert him from his usual ways to make money

As much as I agree that January wasn’t as great as we’d have hoped, I’d argue the squad is stronger post January. Okay, not everyone seems to be working out however the squad is bigger. Mullen has made a real difference. Connor Young looks a real young prospect. The rest only seem to be as good as anyone else in the squad. It’s up to Tidser to pick the best 11 for the opposition. He’s not doing that at the moment in my opinion

The squad may be stronger in numbers but not in quality. Mullan has been good but in reality we were generally okay in defence it was always midfield and upfront that were the problems.
We can’t play young and Kane from the start as we don’t have the quality in midfield to cope so there was almost no point signing young this season.
If we look at the midfield on Friday night, Tidser would have to be a miracle worker to get a tune out of those guys at this level even if they were giving 100% and there was nothing better on the bench. Even when Todd and cooper come back they are no better either.
We needed better in January to give Tidser a chance, he’s been hung out to dry by whoever signed those that were brought in.
If John has been brought in as a consultant and has recommended players he has a connection with through the agents etc then he’s taken the owners for a ride.

Berkey, either all that’s true or Tidser has tried to get the guys to play in a way that doesn’t suit them and is to complicated to implement 2/3rds of the way through a season then threw them under the bus at the first opportunity.
Booth definitely has mental laps in concentration but his performances since being launched under a bus publicly has been on a steady decline. First couple of games I thought we’d be fine. He was the link between Mullen Bene and the rest of the midfield. He was taking the ball even with opposition around him and distributing it to the other midfielders. Cut to Friday and Wotherspoon is running round swearing cos nobody will pass him the ball 🤷🏻♂️
To be honest our midfield are either totally disinterested or they don’t want to know what is being asked of them. I think it’s a bit of both.
I actually think it’s completely wild folk are pointing the finger at Colquhon.

We have to look at the bigger picture. The whole ownership model and how we are run.
There are parallels to Manchester Utd in some ways.

Tidser takes most of the blame for me, he’s the one who is choosing to implement “his way of playing” and makes the decisions that affect matchdays.
However, like every disaster, there’s not 1 person at fault and takes all the blame, many factors feed into the disaster and Colquhoun falls into that.

Just heard Reeves has given the green light to investing 1bn in the area around a new East End Park to be built on the old college site. This promises to bring new prosperity to the area.
