Anyone’s guess as to how we are going to line up tomorrow.
Does Bene play? That’s the biggest question right now surely.
I see folk on EEB are calling for Hammy to replace him if so that would be a disaster against Oakley.
If Bene is dropped I only see Fogarty coming in the partner Mullen.

It’ll be interesting to see if we play Benedictus.
With survival being the ultimate goal and the money we are willing to spend to get it, I think that we might play him using the old “innocent until proven guilty” line. Investigations ongoing etc.
If we were still “living true sportsmanship” then he’d probably be dropped.
I reckon Lennon will speak to him to make sure his heads right and if it is he’ll play, if deemed the best partner for JCM.

Very interested to see if cooper starts tomorrow. He’s got the potential to make something happen. Scores goals and has a bit of creativity we have mostly been lacking without him.
Will Wanyama’s clearance come through in time.
I’d start with Mullen and Fogarty at the back.

Let’s be honest, you don’t really want your centre halves swapping with each other the entire time. It would cause far too much confusion.
I’d just rather we had 2 centre halves who can both compete with a physical player that’s all I’m saying.

"Very interested to see if cooper starts tomorrow. He’s got the potential to make something happen. Scores goals and has a bit of creativity we have mostly been lacking without him." Fully with Agree Never10yairds.
As Sir Alex`s said "Possession is important, but always possession with a purpose. When we attack I want to see pace, power, penetration and unpredictability."
For me Cooper has the ability to make creative passes and seeks to go forward when he can as well as giving us that bit of unpredictability. He may have struggled to get into some games, and perhaps has had most impact coming on as a sub. but in some games he has made a huge difference when he has been on. Considering how few minutes he has played his goal scoring record is also good. Andy Tod for me, while young and raw, is another player with some creativity who can thread a pass and potentially score. He also is prepared to work hard to win the ball back higher up the pitch. Strikers need service and to be played in. We have been short on the creative playmaking side so Cooper would be in my team. Hopefully, Wanyama can also provide some flair and help drive us forward. With NL at the helm hopefully the change to us being much more direct and forward playing happens sooner rather than later.

We need players that are 100 percent up for the fight and a lot of the loans and short term deals don’t seem up for the fight.

I hope so but not 100% convinced. If you look at the calibre of manager and with Waynama- it’s a real signal of intent of how his club is going to move forward.
A lot of our current crop of players are out of contract and going to realise they’re going to be turfed out. It should encourage more positive performances to try and earn a contract here or elsewhere but given they haven’t been doing that currently - not convinced. What is the real incentive for many of them.
That’s the biggest challenge Lennon will be faced with the rest of this season.
Hoping a few do react positively though (Comrie, Hamilton, Otoo, Wotherspoon & McCann)

Legend85, I’d suggest we should be united around getting the results we need to keep us up. If the manager thinks that is more likely to be achieved by selecting bene then that is what should happen regardless of the as yet unproven allegations against him. The club can consider its position after court proceedings are concluded.

Lenny has said he has to find a formation that suits the players he has that can win games ... so I am not sure that his favoured 3-5-2 will be implemented.
Wouldn`t be surprised to see Otoo giving a bit muscle at the back with Wanyama slotting into his midfield position.
I don`t think its going to be free flowing or pretty so I would like to see Young and Cooper for a bit of creativity and some muscle in most other areas.
Starters... Tobi, C-Mullen, Otoo, Wanyama, Wotherspoon, Kane
The rest up for grabs and expect experience over recent young loanees for the first 60 minutes.
Wouldn`t be shocked to see Clay and/or Fogarty

Playing against Ayr (George Oakley) or Partick (Brian Graham) I`d really want the experience of Benedictus on the pitch. Obviously Lennon`s hands might be tied on that depending on what has happened.
Expect a lot of people to be traveling in the hope of seeing Wanyama and positively the article on COWS sounds like he`s available for selection:-
"With Victor Wanyama’s arrival, the club has added not just a player, but a seasoned professional committed to guiding the team to security in the William Hill Championship. Let’s hope his first experiences of Somerset Park is as a winner."

Wanyama and Otoo has to be the centre of midifeld.
I agree also he’ll he starting every game I’d imagine. He’s not come to sit on the bench, even if not 100 match sharpness he is probably the best midfielder in the league.
He seems to have been keeping himself ticking over and fit with the Barnet training.

Honestly, all I’ve really seen chalmers do with the ball is pass it backwards, sideways or give it away. Maybe a handful of half decent corners. That’s it in three seasons. Rarely makes a forward pass that threatens to hurt the opposition. Off the ball he’s too slow to be effective. Just doesn’t have enough upside to get in the team for me.

It’s quite funny watching how some players just instantly become scapegoats. We see it with Dorrans, MOH and now Chalmers massively.
Weirdly enough these guys have played at the top level for theirs careers (ok Chalmers has bounced between top two leagues) but aren’t seen as good enough by the .net faithful. Despite not being even close to the worst players on show every week.
Lets hope Lennon gets a tune out or the latter to to prove a lot of people wrong.

The most convinced I’ve been this season was the games with Lanza John in charge.
The players were played to their strengths and it worked. I’d say even the Ayr game we lost at East End we had plenty chances in that game and a few penalties appeals.
Conceded 2 soft goals and that was the difference between the teams.
McPake and Tidser both failed to get a tune out of this squad, I hope Lennon follows suit and plays to the strengths of the team, which he’s hinted at.
Who knows what today holds but for the first away game in a long time there’s a buzz amongst the fans and hopefully we see a better performance on the pitch.

Yeah, but if the squad`s as bad as some say, we`re beyond hope!
I think it`s fair to say some of them are perhaps not the best Lenny will have managed but for me the style of play was turgid and a huge factor in underperformance.
I don`t wanna go down like disco.

The managers tried to play this fantasy passing game with players not good enough and deservedly lost their jobs because they didn`t change the way of play and losing games. Let`s talk about the quality of the squad. Wighton ( who you said was championship quality) loaned to league one playing 8 games and a stand total of 1 goal 1 overall this season his stats are 21 games oh and 1 goal. Same amount of goals as yellow cards. Sam fisher again only managed to go as high as league 1. He has made 6 appearances only losing 1 game and is probably at his level. We probably only have 3 maybe 4 players ( wanyama aside as nobody knows what his level is yet) capable of playing regularly at this level.
And you can see that with your performance in the championship limped to safety last season and making desperate signings to stay in the league this time around. 2 different management teams but the same players same outcome hopefully Lenny can keep us in this league as financially it will be a struggle if we go down.
c'mon the pars

If he scores the winning goal then you can sit on your hands

I`d love wanyama to score the winner but regardless it probably doesn`t change my post that most of the players we have currently aren`t good enough for this level and where we want to be
