Is it 1 or 2 games for deliberate hand ball? Noticed Lennon saying he hopes it’s just one game he misses?
He’s obviously a very good player no doubt, but, he looks so immobile today when he came on! Hoping he can get up to speed asap!

I thought straight red was two. And 2 yellows is one

Think we’re throwing money around willy nilly and Wanyama happy to come for 1 final pay day. He was way off being match fit and Lennon knew it. He was a mile of the pace. It was a red card all day long as he was stopping a goal scoring opportunity. What was he thinking struggling to get back slips then grabs the ball as he falls. Our day just got worse. Bene passing to the Ayr player on the edge of the box was suicidal. I genuinely think he was happy with the red. Got him out of jail. He was blowing out his back side after 10 minutes coming on. He now knows he’s banned for the next 1/2 games. I hate to think about how much money we’re throwing at him to try and get us out the mess we are in.

Unfortunately it’s never going to work with Wanyama, I see he’s been nicknamed Victor Wagamama on Pie and Bovril and it’s clear to see why. He looks unfit and I’d be surprised if we see him again in Pars colours. There’s no way on earth he is getting match fit over the next few weeks to have any impact at all. We’d be better throwing a young midfielder in from the reserves.

I don’t see us appealing the red. I think we’d be better off without him tbh.

He has a net worth of £12.9 million. Whatever we are paying him, he`s certainly not in it for "one last pay day"

Sending off was a bit harsh imo as he was not the last man but the Ref didn`t seem to want to give us anything all game. Thats how it usually goes unfortunately when you`re fighting for survival. The players look like they`re not enjoying their football.....feeling sorry for themselves. Lennon needs to sort their heads out asap.

I thought it was strange how long it took the ref to make his mind up. I was expecting a yellow because of that.

Sadindiefreak as you say he’s made his money and this just feels like a bit of a jolly and a possible profile raiser for the club.
If he was serious about staying the in game he would be a lot fitter than he is just now and would have joined a club in January.

My first instinct was it would be a red card and I was stood near the front of the terracing. Difficult call to make though without seeing it back.

The Ayr players made a massive deal out of it which might have helped influence, if it was the other way round we might have made some half hearted appeal from a few players

I thought he was in discussions with someone too. However he had the best view himself and should’ve seen how close Mullen was.

I said not long into the game that the ref was making some questionable decisions. I doubt the red car will be appealed but I’ve a feeling that the booking of Neil Lennon will be the highlight of that refs career. Maybe things like strange refereeing decisions will be a price we have to play for having a guy like Lennon in charge. Scottish fitba and all that.

Whether he is last man or not is irrelevant. The offence will be denying a clear goal scoring opportunity.

Surely it makes all the different, if he’s not last man then it’s not a clear goal scoring opportunity??

But he actually managed to handball it towards the Ayr player. If the ref had waved play on they could have scored.

Pretty sure `Last Man` isn`t even an actual rule. It`s denying a clear goalscoring opportunity, which it was that close to goal

He slapped the ball towards the last defender. If he doesn’t touch the ball with his hand, the ayr player isn’t running to the left towards our last man.. he’s taking it to the right, away from him, and would be one on one with the keeper. It’s a clear red.

From The Courier
Dunfermline have decided against appealing the red card that marred Victor Wanyama’s dramatic debut for the club.
It means Wanyama will sit out Wednesday night’s rearranged meeting with Livingston.
But, with the offence carrying a one-match suspension, the midfielder will be available again for Saturday’s crucial meeting with relegation rivals Hamilton Accies.
It will be hoped he can work hard on his fitness this week to be ready to play a bigger part if needed against the Lanarkshire men, who currently sit two points ahead in the safety of eighth place.

It`s not unusual for a weight clause to be entered into a footballer`s contract.
Presumably Wanyama had a medical before signing? It was surely apparent then that he wasn`t ready for action.Probably a good thing that he is suspended during the week and he can get some training in.
