Yes been in freefall for a while, it`s annoying we lost to them this season, they are there for the taking.
Doomed next season.

You’ve got to give airdrie credit, they’re really making a go of staying up. Since beating us anyway. If they do eventually stay up then that would be insane.

Selling Dom Thomas has absolutely shafted QP. I think we will finish above them. They are in free fall.

We have to be going there thinking we can win? Hopefully on the back of a win against the Accies?

I am not a betting man but if I was I would have had a wedge on Airdrie tonight.
I would probably have put a Livi/ Airdrie double on…….that’s why I am not a betting man…..
What an opportunity we missed in 2014.

Letting Dom Thomas go then sacking Calum Davidson has put them in serious relegation trouble.

They`ve lost 7 games in a row in all competitions, conceding 25 goals in the process. They go to Livi on Saturday.

Knocking Rangers out of the cup turned out to be a disaster for them. Since then they`ve won 1 game and lost 9.

If they had held onto Simon Murray a couple of seasons again ago they could have been in the Premier. They won 1 of their last 7 games and lost the title to Dundee by 5 points. Murray had scored 15 league goals up until he left in the January. It seems the January window has been costly for them again.

Haughey confirms hes pulling out at the end of next season.
"“My sponsorship of Queen’s Park will come to an end in June, 2026, when the current five-year agreement is due to finish.
“That gives the club 14-months to adjust and prepare. I am also wanting to make it clear that when I do leave, Queen’s Park won’t have a penny of debt.”
further west, there was a thing about Morton a few weeks ago about their funder either pulling out or massively scaling back money going in to the club next season too.

They have been punching well above their weight. A trip back to the seaside league will be this season or next.

Pushed to try get into the big league to get the money from OF, Hibs, Hearts at Hampden and looking like its failed - miserably. Wouldn’t be too disappointed to see them drop back down tbh. Whole sale of Hampden etc left a bad taste in the mouth.

What is annoying, almost corrupt is the promise to rebuild Lesser Hampden, then continue to use Hampden when big supports turn up.
To build a stand that only holds about 60 the whole lesser Hampden project is a joke .

Queen`s Park are to scrap their youth academy, leaving more than 200 players and coaches without slots next season, as they prepare for life without financial backing from businessman Willie Haughey in two seasons` time. (Daily Record)
It can`t be a happy place to work at the moment.

Wee eck, I wonder if Lanza John fancies bringing any of those young lads to Dunfermline. Hopefully we can benefit from their troubles.

Scottish football is a `village` so I suspect most clubs will be aware of the players available. I was surprised at the numbers involved though. How many would there be at our Academy?

I`d guess this figure includes their young teams ie 2015s etc. Although clubs usually protect these teams by having them not directly connected to the club. Like Dunfermline have pars in the community for the younger age groups I believe. Crossgates primrose are associated by name only so if the adult team go bust or out of existence the youth teams are not affected.
c'mon the pars

Indeed Eck. Also noticed they failed to send anyone to attend the media duties following the Airdrie game.

What happened to the £5m they got for Hampden? They wouldn`t be able to build a whole new stadium at Lesser Hampden but all they`ve built looks like it`s made out of plywood and painted black. Where`s the £5m gone?

According to fans on P&B, £3m went on Lesser and the £2m was absorbed in running costs and the new academy they opened.

They massively messed up lesser Hampden, I think one outfit went bust delaying, plans getting changed etc. made the Scottish ferries fiasco look prudent.
Ended up with covered benches and a Royal box which will be useless.
Going full time , where do you start with this? Were they expecting to pick up another 2000 fans out of nowhere to finance it on the future? Ridiculous.
Just one of Haugheys projects that he`s now got bored with, he can now go back and find more council and Scottish government projects that he can profit from.
They easily could have had a cracking 3/4000 seater and good future infrastructure but I think now go down the leagues.

I think there’s more to it personally. Haughey has made his fortunes from buying businesses that are on the downward spiral, asset stripping their carcasses and then folding them. He gets away with it because they are easy pray…..was that the intention with Queens Park?? We’ll never know.
Just like the Newlands College project he opened up,….just to do what I said above….he gave it the whole “I’m a lad of this area and I just want to put something back to others in this area”, but Haughey is a well kent face at Parkhead….so it begs more questions than answers

I wonder if WH managed to get any kickbacks from the 3m pissed into the lesser hampden project. Perhaps QP supporters might investigate his ties to the contractors involved. The money went somewhere and it doesn’t seem to have been spent on stands etc.

Lesser had a better playing surface than Hampden and the ground could have been made up to a reasonable size. What a debacle for the Queens fans. Feel sorry for them that giving up on the amateur spirit by the bosses selling their clubs soul. Eddie Hunter will be turning in his grave at what is going on. Sad times for them. It was an honour for them to be amateur and now they just another poorly supported professional team. Pollok down the road are better supported.
