Cove Rangers and Queen of the South are certain to be in the play offs.
If Alloa win at Kelty they`ll join them - however a defeat or draw there coupled with a Stenhousemuir win would prevent that. A Stenny draw against already relegated Dumbarton won`t do for them though.

Wouldn`t mind seeing Allow back up in the Championship again, a nice wee club and a great away day (they always give us a good run for it)
QOS have momentum, Stenhousemuir would be a hoot, any of these teams offer far more than Queens Park.
I`m just glad we`re away from this league!

If it`s Airdrie in the play-offs wouldn`t you expect them to see off any of these potential challengers?

I think Airdrie are far better than the teams in league 1 but the playoffs have a habit of throwing up some interesting results.

On Saturdays showing Airdrie would fare better than us. 1 over the line and 2 good saves from Tobi when all we offered was a cooper shot at the keeper.

Not sure that`s relevant. Airdrie are where they deserve to be over the season. If the Airdrie keeper had made these saves our players would probably be accused of missing sitters.
I watched their `goal` on the highlights and the claims from the Airdrie players seemed quite subdued.

Think Airdrie are a far better team now than they were when they had so many injuries and so they`ll see off whatever teams make the play offs. Conversely, if we`d finished 9th I wouldn`t be as confident given we don`t score goals and we`d be relying on keeping Kane fit for 4 games in 14 or 15 days.

It was over the line Eck . Just glad there was no goal line technology on Saturday .

Weren`t we denied a goal in the recent home game against Hamilton for some dubious reason? What goes round comes around.

I watched McCabe interview after the game and the ghost goal was not even mentioned maybe it wasn`t over the line

That`s interesting, LEGEND85. It`s pointless questioning the infallibility of .net contributors sitting in the stands but I couldn`t help thinking the assistant referee would be in the best position to judge if the ball was over the line!

Having been a linesman at a fairly high level I can tell you that a player can be well in the net and still be able to clear the ball before it is wholly over the goal line. Remember the leading edge of the ball will have to be 9ā past the back edge of the goal post and line before the referees assistant can award a goal. Itās a long time ago but we were always taught you had to SEE the whole of the ball over the line.

Yep, the whole of the ball must be over the line anyway but if linesman not in line, heās got a really hard call to make.

I don`t listen to other managers`comments as I`m only interested in what ours say so I don`t know what he said. But just because McCabe doesn`t mention it then it didn`t happen? Making a comment on it doesn`t change the scoreline. A few on here saw it was over the line but we got away with it.

McCabe got a red card and a ban last month for criticising refs, maybe doesn`t want the fines?š

It`s hilarious how so many folk on here always give our opponents the benefit of the doubt rather than the team they support. I`ve never come across a manager yet who omitted to mention a refereeing decision if they think it affected their team`s result. On Friday night Brian Graham was claiming PT should have had three penalties against us in a game played 6 days ago!
Btw, Cammy, just because you didn`t hear an interview doesn`t mean it didn`t happen. I didn`t hear it either but I`m prepared to accept what a fellow Pars fan heard - or rather didn`t hear.

I must`ve imagined the linesman practically standing on the corner flag when Kane cleared that ball off the line.

Not as much final day excitement across the board to what we are used to for the teams down the bottom.
Would be a miracle for St Johnstone to claw back from where they are. Our league is done and dusted bar some thing crazy occurring with Hamilton`s appeal. League One is the same and only really the bottom of League Two is going down to the wire.
In England the Premier League relegation was a foregone conclusion months ago and from having a quick look it seems that only the Championship relegation spots could be affected on the final day with League One and Two also already settled in terms of who is going down.

In the English Championship isn`t the title up for grabs on the last day with Leeds and Burnley level on points?
I think there are still 4 or 5 teams in there fighting for the last 2 playoff spots too so there is still plenty to play for at the top end.

" only the Championship relegation spots could be affected on the final day with League One and Two also already settled in terms of who is going down."
Going into easter weekend there were no teams confirmed being in the championship next season everyone could still be promoted or relegated. Results swing since then has cleared most of it up but interesting day at the bottom with 5 teams still in danger of the last relegation spot.

That linesmanās positioning was pretty poor in regard to the last man. There was an offside decision that I thought, how can he possibly see from where his is at.
I suppose that is the breaks that we hadnāt been getting for a while and maybe someone sent our luck to Falkirk as a present.
