Seen a few Falkirk fans on my socials backing the Staggies for this one. I found that a bit baffling to be honest. It wasn’t till I clocked that Livi turned them over twice and drew once. Falkirk still went on to lift the trophy.

Just turned it on and looked at how empty the stadium looks. I don`t care about the distance, such an important game should have a bigger support. So they`ll get home late, so what,they`ll still get a reasonable sleep before work.
What a chance for livi there, very poor attempt. I`ll be turning back over to the German playoffs, it`s much more exciting.

A crowd of 2346 for Livingstons biggest game of the season!! Ross County you can understand a low crowd last night as it’s a long trip for a Thursday night but the home crowd of less than 2000 is shocking! They don’t deserve to be on the top league, all they will bring is an awful surface and poor fan base (and of course the moaniest manager in football). Hopefully RC do them on Monday!

Was VAR used because Livi already had it installed from their time in the Premiership? It seems a bit random that they could have got away with that penalty if VAR had not been available.
Shirt-pulling seems to be instinctive to so many players, even when there is no obvious advantage from it. Martindale must be seething that an experienced player like Wilson would be so daft as to do that in the box.

Danny Wilson himself had no complaints over the penalty even stating he probably held on too long. Good to see him own up to his error as well.
As for the incident at the end - guy 100% spits towards Tremarco, then does a runner knowing fine well he was in the wrong. Thing is, Cowie spotted him and was clearly pointing out to stewards the culprit (not including video evidence). Needs a lifetime ban and criminal charges for common assault.
It really brings into question football fans behaviour these days. It’s getting worse again. This, the Aberdeen incident, Dundee fans abusing Saints keeper and the best of the bunch from England -

Sadly fines are not working but I also fear we are going to end up playing the game behind fences again.
Things like this do football fans no favours. What’s the answer…..I don’t know, but what I do know is that clubs are spending tens of thousands of pounds on stewards to stand and do nothing, or very very little. That has to change first and foremost.

Raith had VAR last season at Starks Park. Because the game is on tv they can do a ‘soft install’ which just means running more cables from a van as the infrastructure isn’t there.

Felt like a training ground session with nothing at stake. Not sure how anyone could sit through that and find it enjoyable, zero creativity, zero excitement. Just stale, passive football.

Napoli went in to last night knowing full well what was at stake. For a brief window it looked like inter were going to crash the party. But credit where it`s due: Napoli didn’t flinch.
They stuck to their shape, played with confidence and aggression, and didn’t let the pressure get to them. It would’ve been easy to collapse but Napoli showed class.
Freedom to pay without nerves ? Napoli seemed to have it in abundance. It showed in their movement, in how they passed the ball, how they pressed. They looked sharp and mentally tuned in, which hasn`t always been the case this season.

It was honestly painful to watch. No urgency, no intent, just endless sideways passing. Both teams looked more scared to lose than hungry to win. Felt like a training ground session with nothing at stake. Not sure how anyone could sit through that and find it enjoyable, zero creativity, zero excitement. Just stale, passive football.
U also have to take into account, most big games, for example cup finals, play off finals are not exciting games, players are nervous, a lot on the line, if you want free flowing exciting football i`d suggest you may want to avoid cup finals and play off finals, this applies to most levels btw
Napoli went in to last night knowing full well what was at stake. For a brief window it looked like inter were going to crash the party. But credit where it`s due: Napoli didn’t flinch.
They stuck to their shape, played with confidence and aggression, and didn’t let the pressure get to them. It would’ve been easy to collapse but Napoli showed class.
Freedom to pay without nerves ? Napoli seemed to have it in abundance. It showed in their movement, in how they passed the ball, how they pressed. They looked sharp and mentally tuned in, which hasn`t always been the case this season.
No i agree that was very good, but the vast majority of cup finals and playoff finals are very tense affairs, u would agree with that right bud?
My original point was regarding the lack of any real cutting edge ,desire to take control of the game and overall quality . Muirhead clearing the stand from 10 yards out pretty much summed it up in terms of cutting edge and overall quality. Players struggling to make a simple 5 yard pass to a team mate. The game lacked any real intensity and it felt like most of it was played in the middle third with neither side really pushing to take control.
No urgency, no real desire from either team to go and win it and take a proper advantage into the second leg.
Most finals have that natural tension because it’s all or nothing in one game. From a 2 legged play off you’d expect a bit more.

Ronan Hale will be off, outside of that it`s a poor Ross County side. It won`t be easy having two premiership sides come down, but with the right signings I don`t think either are anything to be afraid of.

Though Livi were the better team over the 2 games and deserve to go up. Thought both games followed the same pattern with Ross Co being the better side over the first 20 mins then Livi stepping up the gears.
I don’t buy the resignation that some of our supporters have about them coming down, they’re a poor poor side. Another team that has filled their team with lower league of England players and it’s come back to bite them.
I do feel for Don Cowie though, suspected he’ll be emptied and he always comes across as a top lad.
