Взех сутринта свободна от трактора. Не мога да намеря никаква информация за резултатите, надявах се на няколко опита след миналия сезон. Подписахме ли с Шина от Роувърс вече.......??

Sheena`s not signing. Lennon reportedly tried singing "You could have been with me" but that just made things worse.

SS 2 Pars 0 according to copilot.
`The goals were scored by Martin Sorakov in the 18th minute and Ertan Tombak in the 37th. Slavia controlled much of the possession and tempo, while Dunfermline struggled to create clear chances.
It was a solid preseason test for both sides—Slavia sharpening up ahead of their domestic campaign, and Dunfermline gaining valuable experience on the road.`
It might be just making it up! When I asked who was playing for us it included Joe, Josh and Owen Moffat!

Bit of a match report translated...
Slavia`s team is playing against the Scottish Dunfermline in a test match during their camp in Bansko. The score is currently 1:1. The match is broadcast live on Sportal.bg.

Official: Slavia sold Vladimir Nikolov to Poland

In their first test match a few days ago, the "whites" recorded a loss to CSKA 1948 with 1:3.
The two teams were evenly matched on the field and in the first minutes no interesting chances were created. The home team was a bit more active in the forward positions, but they never managed to seriously threaten Mehmet`s goal.
The first clear goal chance came in the 27th minute, when Germush received a pass from Ivan Minchev, feinted well with two of the guests` defenders and shot just after the edge of the penalty area. However, the ball went out of bounds. In the 33rd minute, Minchev tried a great volley from the edge of the penalty area, but Mehmet was careful and cleared it.
At the end of the first half, Slavia`s better play paid off and Sofia managed to open the scoring. After a blocked shot by a player from the "whites", the ball reached Germush, who fired a shot from the edge of the penalty area. Martin Georgiev stretched out his leg and slightly deflected the ball, sending it into the Dunfermline goal - 1:0.

In the 50th minute, Ivan Andonov intervened well during one of the guests` attacks, but was fouled roughly by Connor Young. The Dunfermline player received a direct red card, but the two teams agreed that he should stay on the field and gain playing practice. The good news is that Slavia`s goalkeeper also got up and continued the match.
9 minutes later, Ivaylo Naydenov fired a real projectile from long range, but unfortunately for him, the ball deflected into the crossbar. However, in the 65th minute, the score was tied. A balloon cross from a Scottish player sent the ball into the penalty area, where Sam Fisher headed the ball in, making it 1:1.

SLAVIA 1:1 DUNFERMLIN
1:0 Martin Georgiev (44)
1:1 Sam Fisher (65)
Starting lineups:
Slavia: 12. Levi Ntumba, 22. Ivaylo Naydenov, 5. Karim Atumani, 6. Martin Georgiev, 20. Jordan Varela, 71. Kristiyan Stoyanov, 19. Chung Nguden Do, 73. Ivan Minchev, 7. Denislav Alexandrov, 18. Kristiyan Balov, 10. Yanis Germush.
Dunfermline: 1. Denis Mehmet, 2. Freddie Rowe, 3. Kieran Ngwenya, 4. Kyle Benedictus, 5. Christopher Hamilton, 6. trial player, 7. Kane Ritchie-Hosler, 8. Charlie Gilmour, 9. Tyler Sutherland, 10. Keith Bray, 11. Jake Sutherland.

A run out against a good level of opposition, rotated teams between the 1st and 2nd half, scored a goal. Nothing wrong with that in the first game of preseason.
Looking forward to seeing the friendlies back here and who gets added to the squad before the Hearts game.
John Tod is some size now, hopefully not too long before we see him break into the first team!

Brief report on COWS now -
Our First Team rounded off a week’s training camp in Bansko, Bulgaria, with a closed-door friendly match vs PFC Slavan Sofia.
The match ended in a 1-1 draw, with the Bulgarian side taking the lead just before half-time.
The Pars equalised early in the second half with Josh Cooper scoring after a well-worked Pars move and Cooper reacting quickest in the box to put the ball past the Slavan goalkeeper.
The match was played on a very warm evening, and Pars played two different XIs in each half.
Starting the first half were: Deniz Mehmet: Freddie Rowe, Kieran Ngwenya, Kyle Benedictus, Chris Hamilton, Trialist, Kane Ritchie-Hosler, Charlie Gilmour, Keith Bray, Taylor Sutherland and Jake Sutherland.
Starting the second half were: Trialist: Jeremiah Chilokoa-Mullen, Sam Fisher, John Tod, Ewan McLeod, Ewan Otoo, Tashan Oakley-Boothe, Matthew Todd, Josh Cooper, Connor Young and Lucas Fyfe.

What`s with Angus and the gobbledegook? Is it some dodgy AI translation, an extra Y chromosome, or just terrible humour? 🤔
I`m not getting my knickers in a twist, but I hope we`ve got a decent keeper lined up as an alternative to Tobi if he doesn`t return.
Plenty of time yet, but it`s looking a bit last minute to add top 4 chasing quality. The longer we leave it, the less time late signings have to gel.

Folk acting like the season`s already over because we lost a bounce game in June. If Lennon wasn’t confident in what he could build or if the board had told him the purse was bare, then why would he bin half the squad? He’d have clung to experienced bodies if there was nothing coming in. The fact he has cleared the decks suggests he believes better is out there and achievable within the budget.
Let’s be honest, if the friendly has changed his mind on anything, then it’s probably just reaffirmed what most of us knew that this squad still needs more in key areas. No drama in that. The reality is most players in our bracket aren’t tying themselves down early, they’re waiting, weighing up options, or still under contract until the end of June.
I’m also curious about this recruitment “team”. Would be good to know if it’s structured like a modern setup with defined roles or more of an informal network Lennon taps into. Either way, it’s a sign that they’re trying to improve the process, not repeat past mistakes.
People were rightly raging about how the Tidser move was handled, but credit where it`s due the board admitted the mistake and learned from it. I’d rather they take time and get it right than sign players early for the sake of appeasing fans.
Plenty of time yet. Judge the window when it shuts, not based on a pre season friendly where half the players are still trying to shake off the rust. No pitchforks getting sharpened by me just yet.
c'mon the pars

Cammy you must have some kind of inside knowledge because you keep telling everyone to keep calm and that it`s really early.
This time last year when the situation was exactly the same I`m fairly sure you would have been moaning at the lack of recruitment.

There may be plenty of time to get some players through the door, but certainly not plenty of time to get a good pre-season and integrated into the squad.

It`s the old dilemma. If your preferred targets are not available immediately for reasons outwith your control but could be later, do you ditch them for inferior candidates or hold on in the hope that they become available later?
I`m always surprised that so many fans seem to think that signing quality players is straightforward for a club like ours.

Cammy you must have some kind of inside knowledge because you keep telling everyone to keep calm and that it`s really early.
This time last year when the situation was exactly the same I`m fairly sure you would have been moaning at the lack of recruitment.
Folk acting like we should be signing 5 players a week when the market we are looking at hasn`t fully opened yet with players still under contract. Last year we had the Germans flinging the cash at an astro pitch and a few portacabins. That left us with the same guff that mcpake offered new contracts to and narrowly avoided the drop. No plan, no structure and the same result.
This year it feels different. The club have actually said we’re scouting beyond the usual SPFL merry go round, and if that means waiting a bit longer for quality over panic signings, I’m all for it. Just because the likes of Arbroath or Queen’s Park have picked up a few guys early doesn’t mean they’re better. Let’s be honest, half the time those signings are just filling shirts. Ross County aren`t really surprising anyone by throwing cash at it. I`ve already said that I can`t see bord throwing cash about just because some fans are getting itchy feet.
Until we see what comes in once the bigger pool opens up fully and contract expiries kick in, there’s no need to hit the panic button. Trust the process, or at least give them until mid July before we start sharpening the pitchforks.
c'mon the pars

No sign of Sam Young? Has he been released and I`ve missed it? I rate the lad. I think he has the potential to become a really good player for the Pars. I was impressed in the games he played alongside Tom Foggerty.

Sam is well worth his place in my opinion. Fantastic attitude and plenty potential. A local laddie too. As a development player, I really hope he gets some more first team experience or a good loan spell. He is a prospect.

2nd that GG. Also saw him in the reserves a few times last year and can see something very special in him.

Cheers. Maybe he didn`t travel because he picked up an injury in training or some other perfectly valid reason. Delighted he`s still with the Pars. I hope he gets some opportunities to show he has what it takes to become a regular first team player. Time is still on his side.

Young started brightly when he got a chance last season but like everyone else in the team performances faded away as season went on. Would like to see him go out on loan to get regular game time but guess it might depend on what’s happening with Benny and the court case first.
