It isn’t Vertu. They’ve been our “community partner” for a few years and are supporting and organising the even. Vertu are Macklin Motors and sponsor the rear of the strips and away stand
It’ll be Gamdon on the strips

Think time might not be on their side with that. Games every Saturday now. Suppose Sunday could’ve worked but the players/staff will need days off as well

It`s in the Vertu forecourt too, which is why it`ll be a Friday night (after it closes) rather than a potentially busy time like a Saturday.

there was an image shared that showed club shop will be set up in the West (away) Stand, with foodcourt and market set up outside of the stand. The road/entrance into the garage on halbeath road will be closed with various activities/kit van challenge set up on the garage forecourt. parking to be behind the north stand with access gained from the Leys Park Road entrance.

This is a good idea but its a shame that the timescale has gone right to the wire of the schools finishing up. I`m sure they have been concerned about missing out on pre-holiday shirt sales but not much you can do if the sponsorship deals take longer to conclude or there are kit delivery delays.

To be fair, holding an event solely based around the new kit without actually having the kit there is just downright embarrassing. It`s the sort of thing you`d expect from an amateur outfit, not a professional football club. Sadly, it’s not even surprising anymore.
Then you`ve got the leisurewear fiasco – launching it, taking money for it, and then not even being able to fulfil all the orders. Another c*ck up. You genuinely couldn`t make it up.
The most baffling part? We pay someone to run the commercial side of the club. You’d think launching a kit would be one of the most basic and marketable things a club can do and would be something they could manage. Apparently not. Absolute shambles.

Looking at this objectively the buck stops with the manager for on-field performances, therefore the buck stops with the ceo for off-field performances. Also, who employed the commercial and marketing managers?

My apologies, should of worded it better. The league cup group stage is just glorified friendlies. Yea I knockout stages is fair enough, but the group stages, during pre-season, basically just friendlies with a competitive edge. Ok, some of the top 6 premiership teams have European games around the same time but the rest don`t come in till a later stage.

I am fully aware of the financial implications of early elimination. Like yourself, I want the team to do it`s best and get through. IF we beat hearts, I don`t see why we won`t. But we have to beat the rest of the teams too otherwise it`s down to best runner up.
But having the group stages in the middle of pre season is amateurish from the SPFL but that`s a completely different argument.
My point is, calm down everyone. I have absolut faith that NL and the BOD know what they are doing and things will be good.

I tend to try to give Cook and the board the benefit of the doubt, but this isn`t a good look. Reeks of amateurism. I seem to remember delays last season as well with Errea, I`m sure it took a while to get these sent from Italy. If they can`t fulfill the order get another manufacturer next year. I`m not really their target market, too old for shirts these days, but the shirts should have been here, on sale for the start of the holiday season. I`m sure a lot of people buy shirts to take on holiday with them.
Standards around the club are very low, from top down, from the Chairman to the players on the pitch, that sort of thing needs to change

It seems to me the club was demonstrably better run when it was being run by volunteers who love the club. The Germans ending that and bringing in paid professionals seems to have taken us backwards.
Kit launch has to be one of the most lucrative days of the year for a club at our level. Disappointed we have managed to make an a*** of it.

The disappointment for me is the new owner, new manager buzz has been dampened by a transfer window thus far that is the same as last year, with a strip shambles chucked on top and the old spectre of deafening silence rearing it`s ugly head.
The positivity is waning, this needs addressed.
Cook, well, for me he`s had the benefit of some serious doubt, there`s no more goodwill, get things done.

Cook either takes the hit for this complete farce or he shows he’s actually got a backbone and bins the commercial guy. Simple as that. This isn’t just a one off mistake. It’s yet another chapter in a long list of c*ck ups from folk clearly out their depth. If we can’t even get a kit launch right, how are we supposed to have any confidence in them running the club properly and maximising our commercial potential.
We’re a laughing stock. Time after time it’s amateur hour with this pair. Are we’re expected to just accept it and move on?
Nah, enough’s enough. Get rid of the lot of them.
c'mon the pars

I thought i read somewhere that SRJ would not be the shirt sponsors. Might be wrong. I know that the SRJ owners sold the business to the employees this last year. Seems a bit odd and very last minute given the weather has been forecasted for the last week

Cook was questioned about getting Errea, and he stated , Errea would improve stock issues and reorders , this for the second year in a row is not the case.
I personally would rather have a stock Adidas or Puma strip ,embroidered by a local company , far easier to get and reorder stock .

I’d say it’s more about the sponsor than the strip itself as to why it’s been delayed.
Pretty obvious as it needs to be emblazoned onto the top.

So is the issue that have lung a sponsorship like Gamdon is causing issues to get it passed or the possibility it legal issue? A few crypto gambling companies are get looked at just now alongside the clubs that sponsor. And the possibility of fines for companies and clubs.
No Gamdon sponsorship equals long wait for name on strip, no cash for players, hence no big signings. Hopefully we can get whatever the delay is sorted out soon and we can enjoy a few new faces in the door and a nice wee trip to Edinburgh.
