It’s the same as last season, we just can’t get decent possession of the ball in thier final third, they are outfighting us and winning all the 2nd balls and the aerial battles. Hosler hiding by just passing back all the time.
Boothe absolutely invisible in there and Easton getting the freedom of the park only one team in this at the moment.
Gilmour at least adding steel but getting no help from otoo and booth in there.

Raith will be quite happy to keep it tight and watch us play in front of them in the second half knowing it’s unlikely based on this we score. We can’t even get a decent set piece opportunity.
I get we want potential and youth but it’s men against boys in some positions, we need quality in the right area’s too and we’ve none in the final third today and half the team hasn’t turned up. Young couldn’t control his bladder so far.
Boothe looks like a mistake, not up for the physical nature of this very physical league. Otoo looks lost.

Why do we do this every time we go to Stark`s Park? We look like a team who have never played together, the defence are all over the shop, our passing is woeful - too often we are giving it away and when we don`t we are going backwards like we were imunder McPake and Tidser - and we aren`t running at their ancient backline. The entire back three are having a nightmare -.Tod keeps playing it too far so they are letting him have the ball since they know it`ll soon be out for a bye kick, Benedictus is struggling with the pace and movement and the least said about Chilokoa-Mullen the better. and absolute shocker of a performance in almost every way even down to his throw ins. The midfield is being totally overrun - I`d have had Amade in there myself - and have barely passed the ball between them. Both wing backs have been poor. Not taking their man on giving it away too often. Young is totally isolated and expecting him to win high hopeful punts up to him when he has Fordyce and Hanlon on him is just mental as a tactic. Tod again offered little before he was taken out by Stevenson but at least Cooper has looked lively. The thing is, it`s a terrible game and it`s only the one chance we gifted Raith that is the difference. Maybe if Cáceres, Kane and Kearney can come on and make a difference we can somehow get out of Dodge with a point. But at the moment I can`t see how we get back into this.

Men against boys so far. I guess that`s what happens when you are putting lads up against guys who probably have 10 years of professional experience more than them. It`s just know how.
Scott Brown is bossing it, he should have been the player we tried to sign, in every transfer window over the last 3 years. We just need that sort of team man that can pull a team performance together.
Otoo and Oakley- you`d hardly know they were playing.
I`m actually finding myself feeling that being on the wrong end of a pumping here tonight might not be the worst thing that could happen. Nothing to paper over the cracks, let Lennon and the owners know what we need before the transfer window closes

We`re not gelling - we need to leave less space for them, and we need to take on and beat a man more often. Plus we`ve had little in the way of penetrating balls into their box - incisive passes or crosses, almost non-existent. We need Chris Kane to hold up the ball at the front and to ask harder questions of their defence. They`re worth their lead, the old heads are playing a smart game.
We`re not in their faces enough. I think our players can learn plenty from this game - can they do it within the duration of the second 45?
We`re getting into it. I think we can improve, second half. I don`t agree with those who`re saying it`s as bad as Tidser days. In those days we had nil potential. We`ve got potential now.

If we can’t take a lesson from this game, especially about the “finer” points of the physical game. Then we should chuck it. They’ve given us a lesson. Lennon should re-run this game rubbing in the weak play, and then get a hard man in to stiffen them up.

Very disappointing. Always seems to be the same at Starks, they show up ready for a fight and the Pars just don`t get into it. Ref has been poor too at times. The lack of a solid forward option is hurting us obviously, plus a few going missing when it matters. New season, same outcome.

Amade and Kearney to start next game based on that. Upgrade on Otoo and KRH.
Not many positives but the new boy at left back had a decent game, few good balls into the box too.

Like rabbits in the Stark`s Park floodlights again. Just copy and paste any comments from the last several seasons. Powderpuff boys up against strong men. Gilmour, Amade, Kearney and possibly Cáceres get maybe 6 or 7 out of 10 but the rest were terrible.

That’s got to be mullan’s worst performance in a pars shirt, looked rank amateur.
Hosler and boothe can expect to drop out of the team. Jefferson looks to have much better movement and pace than anyone else we have. Amade must start, will we ever sign a decent striker this summer?
Players looked like they didn’t believe tonight or if they did mullan killed it after 1 minute.
We need some men and leaders to come in, again we’re too nice and we shrink when it get physical.
So disappointing.

We`re a young team - in terms of players` ages, and time oor players have had together. Gonna take time to gel. Missed a couple of sitters. Let in two bad goals. Our resurgence isn`t gonna be a smooth progression - hard lessons today. Move on.

A reality check. Better sooner rather than later.
Would Deniz Mehmet have conceded the second goal?

Eastons goal was onside and McMullen should have scored his effort. We didn’t have any shots of note. We have nothing up front. Raith are better than us. We are still half a team away from being anywhere near good enough.

John Tod was very decent. Oakley was off it. Would have hooked him for Amade at half time. Cooper was better than Andrew Tod. Paddy Peru looks a player.

We have had all summer to address the lack of experience up front. We created very very little, the first half was an embarrassment.

Experience counts, and that`s where we fell short tonight. Raith had it in spades—Easton, Stevenson, McMullan, Byrne, Vaughan.
Not too many positives for us - so many poor first balls, slack passes, careless defensive moves. Our substitutions were necessary, but they came too late. At the very least, there should have been a midfield switch at half-time.
Kearney, Amade and Careres all made a difference when they came on, but it was all a bit late. Gilmour and Amade are a better pairing in midfield than Otoo and Oakley-Booth.
I thought Gilmour again was our best player, with Cooper a reasonable second, but outside of that, not a lot to cheer.

Is Andrew Tod going to be alright? He`ll need a trip to Vision Express but it must`ve been some knock to get the sports goggles off his head.

I think with the younger players, our results as the season goes on should improve. With the age of the Raith team, I think the opposite for them. It`s a poor performance, Raith stopped us playing any football until they tired a bit. We did not create any real chances, never turned defenders, or really put them under any pressure. Caraceres did that when he came on, but we need someone with him.

Team selection all wrong.
I`m absolutely sick of watching 3-5-2/5-3-2. New manager, better players but the same old.
Every sub improved us tonight and Tod had a good game after a shaky start.
Great to see Cacares when he got out wide on the left.

Very worrying...
Clear from the off that the shape wasn`t working and they knew what we were wanting to do and had everything covered. Manager didn`t ever try to adjust...
JCM is becoming a liability at the back and maybe just needs to be brought down to earth after a positive start last season. I like Otoo, but he just never seems to know what his role is any more so just floats around. Don`t really know what TOBs role is supposed to be, Amade did so much more with less.
Gilmour was the only one who can hold their head high after that

Not a brilliant night but maybe something to build on. Kane did look threatening when he came on. But it could be worse, you could be a West Ham supporter ( currently 5-1 down to Chelsea). Chelsea fans are singing, " can we play you every week?"

“I thought we were Brilliant 2nd half” - Lennon
Can’t be having that, they were better in the 2nd half certainly but nowhere near brilliant.

I think tonight most of us will be saying same old Crap !
Hosler should be nowhere near starting for us , Mullen well thats not the first time he has lost us a goal by not just clearing his lines , probably his worst game in a Pars shirt , but of late he has not hit the expectations i hoped of him , Fraser tidy player but needs to get up the park more , Young well another who should not be near our starting 11 . Boothe should be on the sidelines , Amade a much better player and foor his size not scared to get stuck in but he is a quality player, Munn should have got Vaughan`s shot near post and not even hit hard , the list goes on regarding our players , what is it about us not turning up at starks park ?? tonight we looked like a team that had only met each other just before kick off ,
I was looking for better but all i have seen tonight is the same old crap , nothing to get excited about we can certainly see the areas where we need experienced players , end of rant !

same **** different day but not a surprise in any way, whether its certain individuals, the overall performance, lack of any creativity or laughably bad goals conceded.
need a lot more than a striker for things to improve this season.

Switched TV off after final whistle , if Lennon said that he is talking through his @@@@ we were slightly better than rank rotten in the first half. We dint win a corner until the 80th minute.

Lennon definitely watched a different game to the one I watched based on his post-match on BBC. I suppose he`s got to big them up though. Little point in a public admission that we were miles off RR tonight.
Fraser did ok on his debut. Not seen enough of Paddy to form an opinion one way or the other. Given his lack of game time and match sharpness it might be a wee while until he`s up to his best.
Not sure how KRH keeps getting starts given we brought in supposedly better in Kearney (& Bray???). KRH has never bossed a full back since he was clapped off the pitch and did his lap of honour in league one.
Next time Crawley offer money for Otoo I`d be minded to take it.
Amade looks better than OB every time I`ve seen them.
Young gets pelters but he`s working on worse than scraps. Cooper did fine again.
Horrible result but we`re rebuilding a team with loads of youngsters so it`s going to be inconsistent performances. Not very nice when the howlers coincide with a derby mind you.

Utter dross…
For us to not have signed an experienced striker by now is unforgivable.
Whole team were rancid, was experienced pros vs a team of young inexperienced boys.
Let ye down every single time this club!!!
