Sounds like Fisher isn`t being charged and that this is over a stupid cocktail bar scuffle.

Seems like Bene tried to diffuse it but Billy BigBawz got the kicking he deserved.
The broken bone was unfortunate. Apart from that - non story.
Defo no sacking. He stood up for his mate after extreme provocation.

Certainly doesn`t sound like a an incident worthy of jail time. Typical bar scrap and it doesn`t sound like the other guy has covered himself in glory either.

It’ll depend on the Deferred Sentence hearing. Meanwhile he’ll be wearing a tag (Restriction of Liberty Order). Won’t be able to leave his home between the hours of 7pm and 7am (usual hours unless it’s different given his employment). (A security box is placed within his home and is triggered when he’s there. That’s how a tag works, incase anyone is wondering). Not sure the club would allow him to play whilst wearing a tag but this could also be covered in his court papers.

The social work report is standard for a DS. It’s a psychological assessment.

Typical DR reporting, thought Fisher had been on our bench the last few games?

Can they build the tag into his shin guards? 😂

Absolutely ridiculous if he’s put on tag whilst countless miscreants who are recidivist offenders get to go about with at most, bail curfew with no requirements to even present. Then ultimately escape any custodial sentence.

It may be a coincidence, but there`s a guy with the same name in Edinburgh who knocked out a barmaid and beat up a doorman.

Club statement on COWS -

`Dunfermline Athletic can confirm that Kyle Benedictus has appeared in court and has entered a guilty plea to a charge of assault, following an altercation in Edinburgh earlier this year. Sentencing and further legal review will now follow.

Sam Fisher, who had previously been accused of assault, has been cleared of all charges.

Until the judicial process is complete, the club and Kyle will not be making any further comment.`
