Would take a draw, do we have enough in the final 3rd to cause them any issues? They will be all over Tod if he starts as got a hatrick last time.

Would like to see a back 4 today. Bene back and Turley starting. Kane up top with Thomas or Cooper.

What an opportunity we missed in 2014.

I can`t see Kearney getting a start today after being hooked at HT on Tues.

If Turley starts we could see a back 4, have a feeling that NL might prefer to get Bene back on the pitch to try and steady the ship though, which probably means a back 5. Hamilton could come in for Amade, who hadn`t been great...

Reckon Thomas starts with Kane to come on later, unfortunately. I`d have Tod & Morrison up top too probably, although I do like Cooper & wonder with him being a midfielder if he might help the two DMs out more.

Just realised the team probably gets announced in 30 mins anyway so wasn`t much point typing all that šŸ™ƒ

I’d love to see some width in the team today.

Bene coming back in would be a bad move IMO, he’s too slow both in pace and slowing the game down.

Hopefully he goes with a back 4 and get some more bodies in the attacking third.

Potentially a 4-4-2, with Tod and Thomas up top and Morrison and Todd out wide. Although I wouldn’t be surprised if we’re still in a back five.

This is Andy Tod`s world and we are lucky to live in it.

I believe Turley can play CB, so I would imagine 3 at the back. Turley in for Ngwenya.

No sure on that team but it’s the best we’ve prob got, just hope it’s a back 4. Kearney is a wing back all day, not convinced in him playing right back in a 4, he’s constantly getting caught out defensively.

Morrison and Tod overdue us something if they want to show they can play at this level consistently so I can see us scoring.

Sorry but this is a absolute joke. Lennon needs to start taking some blame here.

Just like his inability to get the team attacking effectively he hasn`t found answers to these slow starts.

Getting fed up with him and really beginning to doubt if he is the right man for the job.

Queens Park lost an early goal too, to Morton. But guess what, Todorov has equalised. Time for us to do likewise.

Taylor Sutherland scores for Montrose. That`s three ex Pars scored already and we can`t buy a goal.

The team isn’t strong enough.

Thomas and Tod up front isn’t a frightening prospect.

Morrison hasn’t performed since signing - Arbroath will be going right for it - Morton showed them the blueprint.

8th time we have lost a goal inside first 10 minutes- totally self inflicted- why has it happening? Are our players just not focusing on the game or is it not riled enough to get stuck in.
It’s rare now to see us coming out of the blocks first and taking game to teams putting them on the back foot.

Not signing a decent goalie costing us once again. Needs addressing in the summer.

We look better set up today but a horrific goalkeeping error costs us.

Back level now tho so hopefully we go on to win. We could really do with the points.

we were all willing to give the young players a chance , we get glimpses of what they can do at times , but the rest of the times it`s just not good enough too easily knocked off the ball not streetwise enough and this is a part time team , week after week giving cheap cheap goals away , I think even if we got 2 goals of a start we would find a way to lose
Well on current performances already we can see what way we are going and it`s not upwards
end of rant but not happy at all it`s embarassing,

Not finding a reliable goalie has been a major issue this season. Similarly the lack of forward options. Tod`s good start to the season, and Stewart`s loan papered over cracks.

Beyond that, the team look lost at the moment. Lennon needs to earn his money and get some organisation and shape on the pitch.

It feels like a repeat of last season, just try and stay out of the relegation play offs and go again.

Loosing faith in the current set up, the manager is great at saying what went wrong but does nothing to fix it and we spending good money on players who are not ready at this level but we’re sticking them in the team anyway.

We’re cursed, we just can’t seem to bring in a manager who sets us up to excite and have a go but is also able to sign players to complement that way of playing and are competent championship players.

When the gaffer talks about the players’ mentality and how this is a problem I’d like to know what he’s trying to do to change this.

How do you pick them up after games like these, especially when they go down a goal very quickly from the off.

Sacktheref has pointed out on the other thread that we’re closer to play offs than relegation and that’s numerically true = 4 points off 4th and 6 points off second bottom. But how do you inject that into the team to get them to play better?

I think the less said about the game the better. We always seem to be the bridesmade, never the bride. I also think we need to change the narrative on referees. Its becoming a distraction. At the end of the day you have to pressure teams to get refereeing decisions. We didnt lose 4 goals to refereeing decisions. Played better, but still struggled.

I thought the performance today was actually much improved. We created more than we have in weeks and with a better shape we actually looked like a cohesive unit.

Horrific goalkeeping was our undoing today. Sadly there will be more of that this season.

I really hope we don’t get relegated

Teams get behind us. We seem to prefer build up play with lots of effort to get up the park, lack movement in the final third and lose the ball, putting our own defence back under pressure.

JCM has it because:

1) we are trying to get him to sign a contract
2) he’s captained Scotland under 21’s several times

In my opinion he shouldn’t have it but we do lack experience and leadership on the park. Gilmour doesn’t seem vocal enough so if Hammy and Benny aren’t playing then it’s difficult to know who to give it to.

I still don`t get why Josh Cooper is only getting the occassional cameo appearance. Last game he set up a goal and today he scored and had some other great balls. He is such as skillful and creative player giving us more unpredictability. Amade may not be the most physical, but has the skill to thread direct passes forward and did so in the build up to our second goal. Kane also a handful and gets into scoring positions. I would start with Josh Cooper instead of Matty Todd, Kane up front (until he tires), Amade and Andy Tod. I think these four possibly could build up a good understanding if given the chance to play together more often.

Looking back at our last 3 league games that we have lost, we keep making it hard for ourselves , you cannot give any team a goal of a start and expect to win the game, because we do not have experienced players that can pick themselves up ours are raw and still learning their trade , the most annoying thing why is it we keep making the same basic mistakes week in week out that costs us dearly, I am already not looking forward to Tuesday Night , as jake89 says we need to find out there another Barney , and if possible a goalkeeper

the tone was set as soon as the re-signings announcement was made in May, the signings following added to that......this group is nowhere near good enough for top 4, the way the championship is you are in a relegation fight from the first whistle but now its staring you in the face.

have they got the bottle to get out of it? i doubt it
is changing the manager going to make any difference to that? i doubt it.

The only reason I can think of is that it’s a bargaining chip to try and get him to sign an extension. I wouldn’t be bothered whether he stays or goes, to be honest. He seems to strut around as if he thinks he’s better than this level. If you don’t want to be here, you know where the door is. Nobody should be bigger than the team.

This is Andy Tod`s world and we are lucky to live in it.

When we equalised today and went in at 1-1 you think ok if we keep it tight we can grow into the game , then we lose a quick goal and you kinda know we aint coming back , but teams do not need to work hard to beat us , we manage to self destuct on our own , we give away cheap goal after cheap goal
As it stands at the moment we are definately in Freefall , and we need to stop the rot , hope we can do better on Tuesday night but I think I am just kidding myself like I have done many times this season where i have thought well we cannot do any worse next week , but behold we seem to manage ,
So once again I am hoping we can come out on Tuesday night and rectify a few ghosts of late

I think thats the point. Ww are easy to beat. The last couple of months some of our games have been over after 20 minutes

Totally agree regarding Mullen. If he stays fine if he goes fine.

He’s nothing special IMO.

We shouldn’t have to bargain with players to sign contracts/extensions with us.

You either want to play for us or you don’t.

We should have pushed the boat out to get Ian Murray when we were looking for a manager. 🄹

Just feel so sorry for all us Pars supporters who have to put up with this misery season after season!!

I actually thought the general performance was better than that last few games. Much more aggression and we created more.

I missed the first 5 mins on Pars TV, but it sounds like we`ve ended up with two keepers, both of whom sold a goal.

I`m not that worried about the last goal, because NL has taken off most of the defence by then to chase the game.

In the first half of the season a lot of players seemed to be improving and I gave NL an IB credit for that. Maybe it was just luck? Now they seem to be reverting to type.

I liked the look of Turley and Gilmour in midfield. I do like Amade, but he`s not a pure battler and maybe has to be used selectively.

Yet again Josh Cooper made a difference when he came on. What on earth does he have to do to get a start? He must look pihs in training. Also, I thought Thomas put in his best performance so far.

There`s a decent team in there. Can NL put it on the park for the rest of the season?

Cooper is just back from injury, that`s why he hasn`t been playing.

This is a player I like, he made a difference when he came on, has to start now

Were in a sticky place ATM, need a big improvement midweek.

I know everyone says his legs have gone, but is it maybe time to give Bene a run and give him back the armband? We really need an experienced commanding leader on the pitch.

He unfit is Jeffy that he can’t make the bench? Is he even in the country?

Not convinced on cooper but’s the only one who seems likely to chip in with a goal when he plays.

We need more players who will take the ball in tight spots, run at players and can see a pass. Cooper at least tries this.

We now have 5 home games in a row which includes the cup game. Let`s make home advantage count and get behind the boys to give us as much chance as possible to climb this league and dump a poorish Aberdeen side out of the cup.

Individual errors cost us today end of, Lennon cannot legislate for that. Both his keepers had howlers.
Goal 1 - Terrell howler.
Goal 2 - Fantastic ball in, Mehmet was stuck on whether to come for it, needed a touch and it was a goal, which happened.
Goal 3 - Mehmet howler.
Goal 4 - Two saves from Mehmet and his defence never cleared their lines.

That was not a 4-2 game today. We played some ok stuff at points. Two decent enough goals.

Thomas was bright up top despite not getting to much service, Todd n A.Tod were good. Morrison was decent first half but disappeared second half.
Subs made an impact, Cooper scored and Kane was his usual self.

There’s no doubt about it we could be in a relegation battle soon enough, but I don’t think today’s result reflected how the game went.

We need a goalscorer. Olly is doing his best but not scoring goals. Maybe its a confidence thing. He was better today I thought, but needs to devekop tgat striker instinct of being in the right place at the right time. Its a tough position to play and he just needs to make that bit of luck for himself.

Dont want to get involved in whether Mullen should be captain or not but i do wonder if we should give him a try in midfield as he is a player that likes to run at defenders and into space and bring Benedictus back into defence, surely cant be any worse than the present set up.

I like the look of Turley. He has come in, never looked out of place and can play 90 minutes. He dropped into defence so has that flexibility.
