Let’s get right in about them from the start and put the game to bed by half time again.
Raith are terrible on the road scoring 1 goal in their last 7 away games.
They are there for the taking today.
Let’s give them a scudding.

Had a wee look on the tickets page. It looks like they`ve sold between 1300-1500 tickets.
Actually, if the blocks on either side of the away stand were not on sale as per usual, the it looks like they've shifted less than 1000. I cannae be bothered counting exactly, but it seems like a really low away crowd from them

HT, 1-0. Well deserved based on our play. Lovely shot by Morrison to give us the lead. About ten minutes before the break, there was an absolute stramash in the Rovers penalty area that should have produced another goal for us, but no joy. On balance, I`d say we deserve to be a couple ahead. We have dominated so far, and our passing, in the main, has been lovely to watch.
It was a blow to lose Olly Thomas early, but Chris Kane has looked great since coming on. We could do with a bit more focus from Andy Tod. he`s finding the right space, but his touches are pretty poor. Fraser and Morrison are brilliant, while Matty Todd is a little bit hot and cold, but Amade and Gilmour are imperial, controlling the middle. We`ve been waiting a long time for a midfield pairing like that.
Our defence is solid and swallowing up everything the Rovers send in their direction. And Billy Terrell has done all that`s been asked of him, which is not a lot. Rovers have posed very little threat.
But at 1-0, there`s never room for complacency. There`s still everything to play for.

That’s the worst Rovers team I’ve seen in a long time. We made them look average for a large spell of the second half without causing too many problems. The result is probably a fair reflection of the teams’ overall quality.

Lennon said `popped muscle ` in the post match audio interview.
Shame for the lad (and us) as he was excellent last week and had just broken his scoring duck.
I thought we did well first half. Raith sat in and made it difficult for us and their press gave Gilmour/Amade little time. Raith created absolutely nothing though and we did well to keep moving the ball, still creating chances despite how camped in they were. First goal was key.
Majority of the second half we were a bit of a mess tbh but delighted with the late goals and end result.
Things to work on and maybe struggling a little for subs in forward areas.

That was never a 3-0 game.
Maybe a bit of a hangover from 2 x games a week. We were good in the FH lots of well worked positions. Midfield/Defence were ticking over & we were well in control. SH not so good, we lost our shape & resorted to just clearing our lines & lumping it forward. Raith were brutal but looked like the might nick the equaliser till the two late goals.
However a win is a win & we are now looking upwards. Win our game in hand and beat Arbroath at home and we can get to third.
Well played Billy Terrell - Solid performance.
You’ve seen the Pars now please go home!

I think the takeaways for me from that game were;
1. We have strength in depth in the team
2. We showed a level of resilience as a win againat Aberden can be as emotionally draining as losing in the days after.
3. We kept going for the 90 minutes and played to the whistle and scored two goals towards the end of the game.
It wasnt a great performance but it didnt need to be. It was important to avoid the trap of a great performance and victory last week to potentially slipping up this week.
Good to see A Todd getting on the scoresheet. His gestures after scoring showed hgat he was keen to get that.
A solid performance overall I thought and deserved victory. I suspect that is RR season pretty much finished now. Albeit they are our rivals, id like to see all Fife clubs doing well. They look to me to be on a bit of a downward spiral.
