Raith Rovers will be without injured trio Scott Brown, Paul McMullan and Shaun Byrne for tomorrow’s William Hill Championship Fife derby at Scottish Cup semi-finalists Dunfermline Athletic.

Scott Brown will be a big loss for them. A solid and consistent performer over the years.

Let’s get right in about them from the start and put the game to bed by half time again.

Raith are terrible on the road scoring 1 goal in their last 7 away games.

They are there for the taking today.

Let’s give them a scudding.

I know they’re hyping up the home sales but my guess is that’s because the away sales are poor. Other wise it would have been 8,500 tickets sold or whatever

Had a wee look on the tickets page. It looks like they`ve sold between 1300-1500 tickets.
Actually, if the blocks on either side of the away stand were not on sale as per usual, the it looks like they've shifted less than 1000. I cannae be bothered counting exactly, but it seems like a really low away crowd from them

There were still quite a few tickets available for the Norrie and main stand earlier so we shouldn’t be slating the wee team too much.

HT, 1-0. Well deserved based on our play. Lovely shot by Morrison to give us the lead. About ten minutes before the break, there was an absolute stramash in the Rovers penalty area that should have produced another goal for us, but no joy. On balance, I`d say we deserve to be a couple ahead. We have dominated so far, and our passing, in the main, has been lovely to watch.

It was a blow to lose Olly Thomas early, but Chris Kane has looked great since coming on. We could do with a bit more focus from Andy Tod. he`s finding the right space, but his touches are pretty poor. Fraser and Morrison are brilliant, while Matty Todd is a little bit hot and cold, but Amade and Gilmour are imperial, controlling the middle. We`ve been waiting a long time for a midfield pairing like that.

Our defence is solid and swallowing up everything the Rovers send in their direction. And Billy Terrell has done all that`s been asked of him, which is not a lot. Rovers have posed very little threat.

But at 1-0, there`s never room for complacency. There`s still everything to play for.

FT 3-0. In the end, it`s a great result. Not the prettiest, but we will take this result any day of the week—three 3-0s in a row. Four clean sheets in a row. Wow!

Great result. Is this the first time we`ve had an actual more than 3 point lead in 4th place? It`s effectively 5 points if you count our superior goal difference. 8 games to go but 3 of our last 4 games are against the top 3. Exciting.

That’s the worst Rovers team I’ve seen in a long time. We made them look average for a large spell of the second half without causing too many problems. The result is probably a fair reflection of the teams’ overall quality.

This is Andy Tod`s world and we are lucky to live in it.

Andy Tod looked off it in the first half. Much brighter in the second. Maybe a word from Lennon? Thought Terrell was solid. And Kane was immense throughout. Bene looked good when he came on. Amade not quite on it. But Fraser and Gilmour were excellent

Lennon said `popped muscle ` in the post match audio interview.

Shame for the lad (and us) as he was excellent last week and had just broken his scoring duck.

I thought we did well first half. Raith sat in and made it difficult for us and their press gave Gilmour/Amade little time. Raith created absolutely nothing though and we did well to keep moving the ball, still creating chances despite how camped in they were. First goal was key.

Majority of the second half we were a bit of a mess tbh but delighted with the late goals and end result.

Things to work on and maybe struggling a little for subs in forward areas.

That was never a 3-0 game.

Maybe a bit of a hangover from 2 x games a week. We were good in the FH lots of well worked positions. Midfield/Defence were ticking over & we were well in control. SH not so good, we lost our shape & resorted to just clearing our lines & lumping it forward. Raith were brutal but looked like the might nick the equaliser till the two late goals.

However a win is a win & we are now looking upwards. Win our game in hand and beat Arbroath at home and we can get to third.

Well played Billy Terrell - Solid performance.

You’ve seen the Pars now please go home!

I think the takeaways for me from that game were;
1. We have strength in depth in the team
2. We showed a level of resilience as a win againat Aberden can be as emotionally draining as losing in the days after.
3. We kept going for the 90 minutes and played to the whistle and scored two goals towards the end of the game.

It wasnt a great performance but it didnt need to be. It was important to avoid the trap of a great performance and victory last week to potentially slipping up this week.

Good to see A Todd getting on the scoresheet. His gestures after scoring showed hgat he was keen to get that.

A solid performance overall I thought and deserved victory. I suspect that is RR season pretty much finished now. Albeit they are our rivals, id like to see all Fife clubs doing well. They look to me to be on a bit of a downward spiral.

Anyone know what the loud bang was prior to the teams coming out the tunnel at ko? It took them longer than normal when the music started.

Very loud banger let off in NW

First half was decent and goal well taken by Morrison, second half we were poor and Rovers went long ball, second goal settled the game, great movement and finish from Kane, breakaway goal from Tod was the icing on the cake.
Good win over a poor Rovers team.

Well that was as comfortable a derby win as I can remember, but nerves were starting to kick in as the second half wore on, but in no way did I ever think we were going to lose that.

Started off sour, Thomas making a run then appearing to hold his hamstring, then subsequently ( a few minutes later) going down holding his groin. Either way, it looks like he is going to be out for some time. Isn’t it ironic that Kane is now our only fit striker?

Still, a fit Chris Kane is a handful and amongst the best in the league, and I was delighted to see him bagging a goal, an Tod as well….1 assist and 1 goal, superb!

No idea what the fight in the away end was about, but it was great to see the end empty. As you would expect, the Raith fans were revelling in us being as poor last season….it’s only right we do the same, and they do look really poor.

When you appoint a Manager like Imrie, who is going to play in such a defensive shape, you’ve got to hope he gets it right as he can’t change it and he is looking like a disaster. Our Michael Tidser, dare I say it.

Pleasing to see Easton being anonymous before being subbed and throwing the dummy out of the pram when he got into the dugout…..yes, pleasing indeed.

Anyway, going to grab a beer and wait in anticipation for the Raith cartoon to come out. Have a great night folks.

If only Andy Tod would maintain his focus. Gets himself into nice spots, then wastes the opportunities with poor touches.

He must have heard you in added time 😄

We dodged a bullet not signing Easton. He did very little today. Very ordinary.

Zimbo, to coin a phrase, you got that spot on. So glad we didn`t get Easton but it`s beginning to look very good that we got Morrison.

“I need to watch what I say as we are in a precarious position". Dylan Easton also didn’t like being hooked and threw a few things once we sat down on the bench. That’s not the attitude we need for a young squad, we dodged a bullet there.

This is Andy Tod`s world and we are lucky to live in it.

I could not have put that better myself, would absolutely take the points as they would have, a win is a win, and who would complain about that, noted that NL took a moment to applaud the home end too

Said it at the time,Easton a decent player and would have been a scunner for them, but the guy`s a fud, a prima donna, well avoided whilst draining the wee team of wages.

I don`t wanna go down like disco.

There was certainly a few arguments going on between Imrie and the subs after they came off, could see it from the back of the Norrie he was going nuts at them.

Delightful viewing.

Gilmour 100%

100% he was best player in the middle by a long way
Personably let’s give a shout to Terrell he did what he needed to do wasn’t under pressure and his distribution was good.

Just in from the pub…

Anyway first half we carried on from Aberdeen game and worked well

Second half bit of a struggle not that they had any real chances

Once Hamilton and Byne came on we had 4 leaders on the park alongside Kane and gilmour

Anyway was easy pump the wee team 3-0 they are a smidgen away from free fall to the seaside league

I’m so used to us winning three games then losing the next two or three, I’ll definitely take this one.
The match was a hard watch and to be honest was expecting an equaliser from the wee team until the late flourish.
We have breathing space now and no danger of relegation.
Big shout out to Billy in goals today,
He made himself big and had a great match,

Very revealing interview with Dougie Imrie.

What I took from that.

Billy big baws like Easton not leading the team.

Players soon out of contract “protecting themselves “

Rovers are on deep trouble if they don’t stay up.

Rovers highlights posted 20 odd minutes ago.

They must be annoyed about Morrisons yellow card as they showed it multiple times with a `yellow` graphic and none of their own. Our highlights don`t usually show cards.

Great finish by Kane. Adjusted his body brilliantly.

Gilmours pass through to Tod is perfect.

I’ve seen red cards dished out before for Morrison’s tackle. I thought he was very lucky. He went over the top.
